    I always take a couple extra front muffler clamps ... I have had them break on a trip, and those marine duty clamps aren't readily available on the road.

    Suggestions please...

    While its rotated down that is a good time to change the spark plugs (your going to be a lot more confident your not cross-threading the plugs), check the plug wires, inspect the intake seals.

    920 miles in one day from Ruidoso, NM to Edinburg, TX (was the last leg of a 3100 mile trip). Was a record for me last month ... not bad at 52 years old. Did it on my '07 Uly. Here's a picture of my bike and I on the trip:
