    Smells like gas!!

sounds to me like you could be running a little rich.... My bike does that for the first few days that I ride it in Spring every year. After a few good rides, it leans out.... seems like it just needs to flush everything out a bit... sniff around near your exhaust outlet with the...

Lost a header bolt this week

Midnight, I just went through exactly what you're looking at now... there are a couple things to think about as you approach solving this problem.. 1. (probably most important too)... if you have a bolt sheared off on the front head... odds are good that there's a broken one on the rear...

    Alabama stupidity (my rant)

hey Browland.. here's the deal... this might help you feel a little bit better about it... they ARE retards... and here's the proof... how many of them do you see having multiple car piles-ups and other accidents on clean dry pavement? Now consider how many MORE of them you see off in...

    LED turn signals..

Vitor, What model of bike do you have? If it's Firebolt then the flasher relay is located under the front fairing. (essentially above the headlights to the right side (Bike's right side, your left if you're standing in front of the bike)

found an interesting article about a sore subject

Keith Wandell should just fire himself and let Harley find a CEO that cares about bikes and riders and not spreadsheets... run a company by the numbers and the only thing you'll find is the numbers declining.

What kind of Helmet do you wear?

hey..... those of you that have ICON helmets..... has anyone had an issue witht eh visor blowing open on you when you check your blind spots? I was told by a sales rep at Cyclegear (local shop) that they are pretty notorious for that....

    icon/arai/shoei/ugv/bandit

a word of caution on ICON helmets. This is not from personal experience, but I was considering one of them myself about a year ago (cyclegear had them on sale) when the guy in cyclegear said not to use them on a sport bike because when leaning forward (typical sport bike riding position) when...

    Will this HID kit work?

I'll chime in here with a bit of info for those considering an HID kit. 1. From wikipedia HID headlights are essentially a compact form of Metal Halide Bulb (the same technology you see lighting up stadiums around the world) they create light by way of an electrical "Arc" jumping from one...

    XB9R Tires

Normally my first answer is Michelin Pilot Road or Pilot Road 2 for good general purpose riding... but in your case I might consider a Pirelli Scorpion... it's more of a Dual Sport tire than a street tire but I think with the roads you guys have up there.. you'll be better off than having a...

Anyone Tried these angel eye's yet

RT.. anytime you replace your bulb you are openning up the housing to the outside air and introducing potentially humid air to the inside of the housing. I'm not personally fond of the baking idea to soften the glue holding the lens on the housing, but the potential for moisture intrusion...

motorcycle hitch carrier good idea or not

it does say not to use it with bikes larger than 450cc... "Due to uneven weight distribution" My brother has one of those that he uses with his dirt bikes... after seeing how his little 160lbs bikes wobble on it, there's no way in hell I'd put my 'Bolt on it. The receiver may be rated for...
