    Ecliptech Shift i Help!

So I still don't know wtf is going on with the tach, but now I know its definitely the tach, not wiring or the ecm. Sometimes it sticks, sometimes it works. Screw it, I'm gonna ride it!

    Ecliptech Shift i Help!

Hey guys. After a few rides, the problem is back, the tach is sticking again, not working at all. I got into the electrical manual and started the diagnostic procedure. The manual states that the tach should have "approxitmately 4.0 to 6.0 volts" on the pink wire at idle. Would you consider...

    Ecliptech Shift i Help!

Not really. That is how I originally wired it up, the wires going into the cluster are so tight there wasn't really room for 3 connections.

    Ecliptech Shift i Help!

I ended up using the tach from ic (instrument cluster). the ignition from ic, and a ground from right blinker. Not sure what my original problem was but I think it works now. Granted its -3 below and I'm not riding till spring. Good Luck fellers.

    Ecliptech Shift i Help!

Hey guys. So I installed the shift i on my 2009 XB12Scg. When I plugged the instrument cluster back in after wiring it in, the needles swept, but the tach stayed at 6,000 rpm. After cycling the ignition a couple of times, sometimes the tach sweeps, sometimes it doesn't, but it never goes below...

Hey fellers. Love the new look. This is my first post, lurked for a long time, and when I bought an XB12Scg had to join. Sorry to go off topic, but thanks to everyone for a great forum.
