    EBR Closes / Bankruptcy

It's actually quite interesting how this math panned out. There are 20,490 BXB members. Add in some guys from BadWeb and BRO to bring that number to 21,000. Then $25M/21k= $1190/ea

baddest blast I ever did see

Not you in particular, it's just that I've seen this thing on every forum (now) and all over Facebook and everyone drools over the piece of shit. I'm annoyed with the lack of craftsmanship that went into it yet people still ogle it. Cosworth's link is a good Blast. Though I still prefer the...

baddest blast I ever did see

I looked it over again...they only painted the top of the case. The bottom and trans are oil-covered and unpainted. Lol

baddest blast I ever did see

Full of No. Velocity stack with stock exhaust? No. Subframe added with stock left alone? No. Mounting tabs for rear hugger still poking out? No. Painted-over swingarm sticker? No. Dunlop tires? No. Missing front fender? No. Missing fork caps? No. Clutch line routing that will give you arm pump...

    Blast Help - New Owner

What was your compression after the rebuild? If everything was fine, then you wouldn't have 120psi compression. Moreover, your compression wouldn't have increased to 170psi with the addition of oil. That is THE test to check for failing rings.

    Wandering Idle

Maybe you missed my post, so here it is again: TwinMotorcycles.com has a new seal design, costs a pretty penny IMO. I did James Seals.

    Breather re-route

...this post is in the Blast section... A breather re-route keeps your carb from sucking oil into the engine that was otherwise spit out from the crankcase. Whether that is worth any power is debatable, but the smoother idle is noticed immediately. Check with Dan for his custom catch can setup.

    exhausting question....haha

As Go_Cytosis mentioned, it's not the loss of back pressure (any back pressure is bad) that affects your torque, it's the loss of velocity due to the larger diameter that inhibits the scavenging effect and lowers your bottom end torque output. Larger diameter flows more for more pull up top...

    Touring Tires

I'd love to get some PR's, but as I was telling another guy yesterday, I just don't want to spend that money on a tire that's going to get trashed on this horrible paving job. Regarding Shinko, I've read and read about how heavy they are and sluggish on turn-in. If I come across a set on...

    Touring Tires

I called around a few shops in town, none had any 180/55 on any kind of clearance or blow-out. I asked opinions on the ContiMotions and Battlax T30's, they all had the same response; Haven't tried the ContiMotion's but have heard a lot of mixed reviews to the point their not sure they would...

Things to do now that I own a bike

Engine oil: 1.5q, then warm up the bike and add oil as necessary (once warm) to fill to proper level as indicated on the dipstick. Overfilling can cause excess "puke" from PCV valve and excess oil in airbox as a result. Transmission: A little less than 1qt due to residual oil inside...

    Touring Tires

Awesome, thank you. I didn't understand what the "GT" label was for, since the standard and GT were the same price. I'll also call up CycleGear and ask about the 023's. I've not yet made up my mind, just getting reviews and prices, so all input is still very welcomed.

    Touring Tires

I've got a good stretch of chip-seal. I'm thinking that's what really did in my Q3, since it didn't appear to wear very much at all until they resurfaced that road. Unfortunately, CHP monitors all side-roads like hawks. I can do 75 in a 65 on that main road and the CHP don't care. I do 60 in a...

    Touring Tires

Another tire thread, yes. Looking at what mileage-minded tires you guys prefer. I was looking at a cheap Bridgestone Battlax T30, since my 9R see's about 100mi/day. It's currently got Dunlop Sportmax Q3 front and rear, but that rear lasted only a couple/few thousand miles. I want like 5k+

Things to do now that I own a bike

If it runs fine, leave it alone. Just maintain and change fluids on a regular basis. Before modifying anything, get used to riding. Practice in parking lots going as slow as possible without putting your feet down. Get comfortable on your bike and with traffic, before modifying anything to make...
