    Helmet suggestions?

    I currently wear a Scorpion exo-700, got it on sale for ~$140. You can also get the exo-400, which is basically the same helmet but with different venting. I highly recommend the Scorpion for a more budget friendly price - but as always, you should try them on at the store for fit.

    Okay, I found an advanced auto parts store and they had some tools that I used. I zip-tied the metal wire so that the exhaust valve is open, but don't notice a change in sound?? Also, as expected, the CEL is still on, as I haven't fixed the servo motor malfunction. I guess I'll finish the trip...

    Took a weekend trip to Jersey Shore. Left at 8am and arrived just after 6pm. Some snow on the ride and temperature was 24 deg F when I returned. This was a pre-trip for my 4,600 mile US tour which will start in about two weeks. 508.3 miles...what's the farthest you guys have done in a day...

    Whats your gas mileage in between fillups??

    I have an 08 xb12s with 1500 miles and last fill up I only got 103.8 miles, which calculates to 33 mpg. I ride very conservatively with the rpm rarely going up to 4k. I think as I break it in more, I'll get more miles between fillups (cross fingers).

    Got some Valvoline 20w50 full syn from Advance...thanks guys. Still plan on sticking with the Rotella T6 in the engine though, bike runs great!

    What a difference 2-3 Psi makes

    I just had my bike checked this morning and turns out my tire gauge is off by around 8 psi! Any recommendations for a compact, accurate tire pressure gauge I can keep under my seat?

    Yep, I ran the same T6 full syn in my '06 GSX-R600 for nearly 10,000 miles and loved the performance. But it wasn't a v-twin and called for 10w40.

    There is a Walmart, Autozone, and Advanced Auto Parts in town, but none carry 20w50 full synthetic... They do have 20w50 conventional, which is useless to me. Anyone order oil online?

    Rear Tire Hugger Options

    You guys want to cut your hugger? The first thing I noticed when I bought my Buell was how much rain/dirt flung onto my back and dripped down to my seat while riding in the rain. I even left the cheese grater on. If anything, I want to extend mine!
