2nd set of headlights in a month, they keep blowing

BitchinXB, I was blowing the 10amp fuse that the headlights and the dash lights as well as signal lights run thru. Turned out to be that small as you call it peanut bulb between them. Mine did not even have a lamp in it and per the shop manual it's for european models anyway or the HID setup...

BuellSki, go to carolinafabcoat.com web site. Ken Hubbard own's the comapny now and he did a bunch of stuff for my 2011 Ultra and I bet his oven cost 100k, this gut is really good. Quick turnaround and very inexpensive. I had him do probably 20 large and small items on my Ultra in a gloss...

    Want a saddle like this

Mine looks very similar? I had the normal flat seat, looks like a motocross type seat and this one when I bought my TT, I like this one much better. The guy that bought it new said this one was a factory harley seat they came out with not sure, but fits like the moto one just more comfortable.

Some body help answer my electrical question that has a shop manual

Man, what a killer, but figured it out. There is a lamp receptical (gray) that plugs in between the two headlights. per the service manual, It's a Position bulb socket (used for HID only). I removed the harness/plugs from the headlights and plugged in with no headlights and it blew then? I...

Some body help answer my electrical question that has a shop manual

Eric, I have both controls unplugged and all signal lights. The only thing plugged up is the key switch. When I plug in the headlight and turn the key on, it blows the acc fuse right away. That, I would think eliminates the housings. The reason i am asking is I can plug the lefthousing up...

    blowing 10amp fuse any ideas

Thanks guys, let the troubleshooting begin tommorrow. I was thinking of using my fluke and a probe and an aligator clip, probe in the fuse holder and gator clip on a ground. If I read continuity as I suspect since it blows each fuse when powered up and must be grounding, so setup the fluke so...

The little wife did good this past Christmas

It's a Ram mount, with 1 inch ball. Lot more secure than the cheesy one from GoPro. The ball being rubber coated also has a damping effect. Plus with various arm lengths available the locations are really good.
