    I'm sucha sucker

On a SV? My forst bike was a 99 SV650 when they forst came out and I put on 44,000 trouble free miles with proper maintenance. I traded it in for a Kawasaki ZRX1200R and even though that was a great bike I missed the SV. HUGE aftermarket on the SV's and if it has a clean title you cant go wrong.

    PIECE o SHIT

Haha, glad you can laugh with us on this. I understand some of the early 1125R's had stator problems but I thought the CR's had all that fixed. I had a chance to ride a CR and wow, nice bike but my old ass will stick with XB power. A little more sane for me.

Check oil when level or on kick stand?

RT has it right. Ride it until hot and check it on the sidestand. Don't overfill it!

I'm deployed so my Buell is just sitting in the garage without me. That is the worst thing.

    it finally happened to me...

I left my disk lock on once on my ZRX1200R and tried to ride away. Now that was embarrassing with a group of onlookers!

    Kevlar Jeans- whos got em?

I went down after hitting a deer i na pair of ICON Barrier pants at about 40 MPH. The denim split at the knee (impact point) but the kevlar held up though I received friction burns but no road rash. I would buy them again.

    Atrocious gas mileage?

I went 172 miles once but when I filled up I put in 3.6 gallons in my 3.8 gallon tank on my stock 09 XB12R. Thats cutting it a little too close for me! I was riding all highway at about 80 MPH up the 5 between LA and Lemoore.

are buells slower than other sportbikes??

Being "slower" has very little to do with the bike itself and it mostly comes down to rider skill. Now if your talking about being "slower" on a track or road with no curves then a Buell is not for you if faster is what you are looking for.

I am only useing Mobile 1 and K&N oil filter because I can get them next door at Autozone but I would prefer to use Amsoil but the HD dealer is a bit of a ride away.

    Buell Wheelies

Buells will bring the front up but it takes more skill to do than on a "foreign" bike. Short wheelbase with a very HEAVY flywheel/crank assembly calls for skill. My old Kawasaki ZRX1200R you just twist your wrist and the more you twist the higher you go but on a Buell it takes a bit-o-clutch...
