Leaving the mounts where they were the forward most stud would interfere with the caliper body. I'll take a guess and say the caliper is around an inch higher than it would be with the standard hidden caliper mount.

Yes I will still have enough threads. I can bottom tap them for the helicoils and still get a .750" insert in them. Yes they were in the way. My caliper won't mount in the standard hidden caliper position. It will be higher to center it in the window, purely for looks.

Apparently I did and didn't even know it. Maybe I'll do something different then.

Yep I love the super blue. My stash is running low. The caliper will be mounted like a typical hidden caliper setup but I'll be designing my own mount. Since you can see it through the hole in the swingarm, ill position the caliper right where I want it.

Stealing the caliper off one of my ducatis to start my new caliper mount. Draining all that illegal blue brake fluid.

Well the stock brace is actually very light.

Ill be doing a little more work to the sliders but they will be staying. They will be painted along with the frame. Forgot to mention, stock swingarm showed 16 lbs on my old scale. New swingarm showed 14 lbs. not sure how I cut that much weight out of it but I'm not complaining.

But then I would be just like everyone else and what's the fun in that?

Couldn't resist the urge to put the swing arm on the bike. I'm happy with the way it looks.

I didn't like the way the stock swingarm looked, that's why I decided to change it. So I purposely made it look this way. I like it. Everyone has different taste, I build to suit mine.

Here it is without the spacer in place.

Didn't get the swingarm quite finished. I'd say it's at about 90%. 3 or 4 more hours of work should have it taken care of. Opinions?

Cut formed and tacked the back of the brace up.

I made good progress on the swingarm tonight. I hope to finish it tomorrow.
