    time for front pads...

    Just a question...I bought EBC FA345HH and noticed that the grip area of the pads on the rotor is not equal to stock ones(it does not worn from the edge), but starts to worn the rotor at about 2mm from edge. Can someone confirm that??

    Pinging

    I would say around 38º(100ºF)dry weather and the bike is hitting 17000km(10500 mi).Its a 04 XB12s. Water into throttle body(I understant that´s spray)...don´t know about that[confused] I´ll keep that in mind,thanks

    Well, I have the same problem with pinging specialy on hot days and tryed the best fuel(BP,REPSOL,SHELL) with 98 octane and still the same.Ajusted my static timing with ECMSpy and...the same.Tryed to advance timing as sugested somewere in this or other forum and equal.Any ideas????

    Have you unplugged the voltage regulator conector(77 conector)to check inside for signs of melted or burned pins??If so and everything OK, then go for the regulator and stator tests.

    There´s a kit witch contains only the connector for sale at ASB($19.95).But first I suggest that you check that conector if it is the old type one.You must take the Sprocket cover out.Check the manual and it´s an easy job.Also do some search in this forum cause there´s a lot of info about that...

    Don´t know witch year Buell upgraded '77 conector' (connects rectifier to battery) but I had that same diming problem and it was that conector(old type)witch was fried.If battery doesn´t have sufficient 'juice' to feed electronics and fuel pump/injectors then you have that sputtering.

    shrill sound.

    I think your talking about pinging!That happens to me if I open throttle at low RPM in 3 or 4 gear with a hot motor at hot days. Still dont know how to solve that.

    Rear Tire Removal

    I just changed my back tire and it was a fast and clean job (xb12s). I get it off and take it to the shop (awesome guy, super carefull) change the tire, balance and paid 10€.[up] Took 15 minutes to mount and after all just spend 10€. My xb12s uses 22mm wrench for the rear axle.

    Charging system again....

    One more time my battery is discharged. Last time, a few months ago it was the 77 conector. Now that conector is ok (I´v checked) ,the suspect is the Stator. Can´t do the current output test cause I don´t have the tools [sad] But I´v perform Stator check and it measures 0 when conecting one...

    Primary cover, oil seal HELP PLEASE

    Have you tried to use oring´s with the original oil seal.I mean use the seal that is tigth with the shifting shaft(original) and use oring´s to fill the gap between the seal and the seat area. To keep them steady use a spacer to cover them all. It might work[confused]
