    Today, I adjusted the throttle cable to get rid of some of the free play. How do I know if the idle cable is adjusted correctly? How do you know if it is too tight or too loose? I am assuming it is good as long as it snaps the throttle back but I wanted to make sure.

    I bought my first bike last year and it is a XB12Scg. Rode dirt bikes as a kid. I took a riders course and took it easy as I got more comfortable. No need to go with a 250cc. Good luck on your purchase and ride safe.
