    Too loud sucks. D&D are notoriously too loud. Are you wanting loud to draw attention to yourself or...? Also, I'd think the addition of a slip-on would require some kind of remap. Freer breathing means the bike would run leaner. Although, the ECM may be able to compensate for it.

    What that message fails to mention is that dealers are getting the $5k incentives and not discounting them $5k. They realize supply is dwindling. However, they also have units sitting on the floor gathering dust.

    Some pics and mods

    Next will be to de-noid and to add a power outlet for use of my GPS that I use on my V-Strom. I ordered the Buell power outlet but I plan on cutting off the cigarette adapter and adding the BMW powerlet instead. It already had the high-bar option, BTW.

    Learning to trust your tires.

    Go do a track day with instruction. You will learn some invaluable skills that will help you on the street. And, you'll get more comfortable with the bike/tires, too. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the above due to all the changing factors on public roads.

    Nice pics everyone. But, as the self-proclaimed gear nazi, you really need to ditch the board shoes for some riding boots. At a minimum something that goes over the ankle. I guess the board shoes are a fashion statement. And, I guess road rash is too. :)

    battery charger

    I leave my Battery Tender Jr. connected all the time. It is a trickle charger. It goes into maintenance mode once the battery is fully charged. I usually switch between my two bikes on a monthly basis.
