    Look under exhaust in the service manual link at the top of the page. Its a specific bolt with a bushing, it is an allen bolt of some sort, but i dont know the specific size of it.

    Just brought my new bike home and now it wont start!

    Try changing the plugs, mine and my wifes xb12rs have done the same thing with fouled plugs. they may have gotten fouled from just starting it up, and reving it without it actually running for a while. They will foul plugs easily if the bike is just started, reved up and shut back down. Try that...

    no prob, you may have to cut more off then what i posted, becuase now that i think of it i only did an inch and a half and it was still too long.

    you can do that or take your old one and cut an inch and a half- 2inches off of it, drill 2 holes on either side, then fold the strap back and atach it with a jardine muffler spring or somehthing like that, and then you wont have any more issues with your front strap breaking from contracting...
