    i would replace that throttle cable before you ride it as it looks as if its on its last leg. also while your in there doing that might wanna see if you can figure out where the oil is all coming from.

    I have them fully slacked at the grip and as far as I can tell there's no way to slack them at the throttle body area. It's almost as if there's just a tad to much tension on the return cable. I'm not sure if trying to route the cable in the fly screen a little bit tighter would help any or not...

    not Sure if these bikes are the same as cars at all but pull the negative cable and let it sit for a minute or so because with cars the ECM can still be processing information and will show a draw, so you want to wait for the ECM to calm before testing.
