    S/R Saddlebags?

Is there a difference in the S/R saddlebags? I found a set of NOS saddlebags and the straps are far too short without moving the bag back farther than I like.

    Stock gas cap conversion?

Mine broke a month after getting the bike and let me tell you from experience.....an "after hours" call to a locksmith on a Sunday is not cheap if that locksmith can even cut Buell keys. The reason I say if that is because they don't use the broken key to use as the guide, they have a database...

Unrelated to Buells but some of my more favorite stickers Rotted VW Bus - "Don't laugh! Your daughter might be in here" Jeep - "If I had wanted a hummer I would have called your sister"

Yes, I just replaced mine without dropping/rotating motor. Not too bad of a job.

    high idle.

First culprit I'd say was leaky intake seals. Check out the thread below. I have a simple test in the thread to check the seals. http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Buell-Ulysses-XB12x/Troubleshooting/Wandering-Idle

    Wandering Idle

Genuine James Seals are the way to go IMO.

    Wandering Idle

That is synonymous with an intake seal leak. Remove the right side scoop, start the motor, and spray starter fluid around the seals. If the RPMs change you have a leak.

    Wandering Idle

Drafty Manifold Seals. When the RPMs are returning to idle do they hang at any higher RPM? Like ~1600?

    New Buell owner needing advice

[up] Only thing I run in carb'd engines. Also, I usually remove the bowl first in the event I have any sort of gel that Seafoam might breakup and move into the carb.

    throttle cable replacement?

I just did my throttle and idle return cables on my XBS. I would take the flyscreen plastic off regardless just to make sure the cables aren't pinched when turning or rubbing on an electrical wire. Aside from the connect the throttle body ends first then the throttle tube.

    Tire Preference - Something Sticky

I have the Michelin Pilot Power 3's on my 12s and will be getting them again. 6500 miles and counting. They ONLY complaint is they have little grip on the outer compound in cold weather(below 40). Take your time and warm them up.
