    Newest XB12s owner

Nice! I was looking at that same bike this spring actually. Ended up picking one up from a guy in Mankato. I'm up in East Bethel, about 15-20 minutes north of Blaine

Brake Rotors - EBR vs Wave?

Yeah I really like the EBR rotor aesthetics, plus I hear great things about them. Am definitely leaning towards this one I looked at the EBC rotor a bit as well. I already ordered EBC pads but am interested in the pricing you have available. Will send a PM.

Brake Rotors - EBR vs Wave?

Hi all! So the xb12s I picked up and have been working on has some brake issues that seem pretty common. First off, the front pulses pretty hard under braking. Second, the caliper seems to stick and drag even after I've released lever pressure. I am looking at doing some brake work and wanted...

    Polishing headers - factory coated?

Hey all! First off want to say that this community is awesome! Responses to questions are really quick and very insightful, glad I picked a Buell for my project :) Also, my bad if this topic has already been covered (I did make sure to google around a bit before posting) So, I read somewhere...

Aftermarket handlebar - throttle housing fitment

I used a small tack in the pin just long enough to make a small scratch in the bar, then drilled where the scratch was. Did that to both sides and the throttle housing and light controls fit well! Not too worried about the bars breaking since the hole is fairly small and the ProTaper bars are...

Aftermarket handlebar - throttle housing fitment

Thanks! That's what I originally planned, but was wondering if maybe someone had a different solution. On another note, is there any way to extend the clutch switch cable? It's coming up a little too short for me to plug it back into the clutch perch.

Aftermarket handlebar - throttle housing fitment

Hey all! So I picked up a ProTaper universal low bar and some adapters. Really like the look. Got the bar all mounted up and started re-assembling the throttle housing, and noticed it didn't fit together all the way. Turns out there is a little guide that protruds from the housing which fits...

Looking for 1 1/8 fatbar riser

Hey all. Been looking around for some fatbar risers for the XB. It seems like everything is out of stock wherever I look. Precision engineering does seem to have some available (although the page never opens when clicking on an item) but I am not the biggest fan of how they look. Anyone know of...

    Trade forks???

^ Thanks pony, really helpful information! Did you powder them yourself, or get them done at a shop? Also, did you disassemble the forks and do the separate pieces? Shouldn't be a huge issue as I've rebuilt forks in the past but would definitely save some time if I didn't have to :eagerness:

    Trade forks???

Thanks for the info! My only concern with anodizing is the potential for color fade after a few years, but I know that it is not very likely if done correctly and the bike is stored indoors. Powder coating would be ideal, but yes it depends on the coating thickness. I've heard multiple...

    Trade forks???

Hey! First post and its gonna be a longshot, I know :stupid:. I acquired a bone stock 08 XB12S that I am currently turning into something that is my own. It has the standard silver forks and triples. Was wondering if anyone was interested to trade for their black forks & triples? Mine are...
