    Ulysses Tires

They're a little rougher on the road, but not bad. After most of a day spent in the dirt, they don't seem bad on the road at all. The braking isn't as bad as everyone told me it would be... but I try to be as smooth on the brakes as I can. It's just two totally different riding styles - foot...

    Ulysses Tires

They're balanced, I checked them myself after I got them back. It's just the tread I feel. I put about 250 miles on them yesterday - about 70 of that on fire roads and in the mud. (I love living in Charlotte, NC - it's a little over an hour to get to the mountains!) I really like these tires...

Removing rear wheel on a Uly

I use a pitbull stand for both my Buells. They aren't cheap, but make it so much easier to work on the bikes. I can change the wheels out on my Ulysses in just a few minutes using these stands.

    Ulysses Tires

I just mounted TKC80's on my Uly wheels. They're amazing in the dirt and mud, but feel like a tank tread on asphalt. I run Scorpion Trails on my "street" set of wheels.

50Dro Axle Sliders for XB and 1125 motorcycles

Just ordered another set of sliders for my Firebolt. I already have them on my Uly and love them. I also ordered a set of case guards for the Ulysses. I've been taking it off road more and more, so it's time I added a little protection. 5-0dro - I also sent you a message about replacing one...

Post Your Uly Pics (modified bikes especially)

Finally got the TKC80's mounted. They ride like a tank tread on asphalt, but are awesome in the mud. I have Scorpion Trails on my other rims, so I'll only be using the TKC's when I plan to head off road.

    Bad Wheel Bearings-Austin, TX

For reference - the All Balls part #'s: Front: 25-1351 (Amazon Link) Rear (2 bearing): 25-1627 (Amazon Link) They're cheap on Amazon right now - about $30 for both. Amazon says they don't fit my Ulysses, but their "fit" indicator hasn't been correct on a lot of things, and these are the part...

    charlotte?

I'm in Charlotte, near Mountain Island Lake. 2 Buell's - Uly and Firebolt. I regularly ride with the Charlotte ADV Rider group. I've seen a couple different Ulysses and Lightnings running around Charlotte, not sure if any of them are you guys. If anyone wants to get together for a ride, or...

Getting anxious for the EBR AX to come out ...

I think the Uly is competent off-road, but really more for trails and fire roads. (And I think TKC80's were a major factor in making it better) The bottom line is that a 500lb bike with 17" rims is never going to be a KTM or other purpose built machine. The Uly is a tall sport bike in ADV...

    New guy from Wny

Welcome - I'm originally from Oswego, but got out of NY last year in favor of NC. Much better riding down here, and a lot longer riding season! Good luck looking for a Bolt - I have a 2004, and I love it. Although for WNY/CNY, I think a Uly would be a better bike, since it takes a lot of...

Post Your Uly Pics (modified bikes especially)

Alien - I think you'll be happy to know I'm putting the Ulysses I bought from you to good use: This was a week ago in the Pisgah National Forest in NC. The local ADV group down here in Charlotte are great people to ride with. I'm currently searching for a second set of wheels so I can set...

    Mirror options for Uly

I'm running Zeta handguards with a set of bar end folding mirrors. I had to get a longer screw due to the extra width of the mirrors, and slightly bend the zeta guards to fit, but it works well.

    WTB - Ulysses Wheel

I'm looking for a set of Ulysses wheels. I'd like to have a spare set to use for trail/off-road riding - I spent last Sunday riding trails, and my Scorpion Trails were just not enough in the mud, so I'm looking for a spare set to run TKC's on and switch out when I know I'll be riding off road...

    Boot questions....

I asked the same question over on Reddit: Reddit post I'm looking for something tough enough to wear riding the Uly on the trail, but with enough flexibility to use riding the Firebolt on the street. There's a few recommendations on that thread,

    potential new Ulysses owner

No worse than most other sport bikes. You will have to remove a few things to "Rotate the Engine" (Search for it on this site, there are plenty of tutorials) when you need to access the rear cylinder, but for the most part, they're fairly straightforward to work on. I would highly recommend...

    potential new Ulysses owner

I have a 2007. If you're 5'10", you're going to want to lower seat. I'm 6' tall and can flat foot with the low seat, but prefer the tall (stock) seat. Upkeep isn't that bad - keep a spare belt in your bags, and the tools to change it. The engine is fairly bulletproof, no major issues to...

    2014 Buell Mods

I already did the heated grips and Zeta handguards w/ LED signals on the Uly. Next up is HID lights on both the Uly and Bolt, and then rider comfort kit, insulated frame, axle sliders (thanks 50dro), new paint, tall seat, and a few other goodies for the Uly. I'm also in the planning stages for...
