    I'm 6'1. But I have a short torso. And I tend to ride the Uly like a dirt bike- balls against the tank, feet right under me- in the dirt. I didnt hit them when I was riding on the road in a more relaxed position.

    I dont think there were any changes in frame design for any of the Ulys. PM me if you would like to purchase this one as I have taken it off since my knees hit the bars thanks to my stupidly long legs.

    I also have the venom stands and love them. The only issue is I got a Uly now and the front one doesnt quite reach. Im building some wood blocks to raise them off the ground a bit this winter.

    New Ulysses owner

    I think the Uly is THE BEST deal for an adventure bike right now. You can get them for 4-5k which is kind of KLR territory. Its not as good off road but it'll eat miles up no problem. My Uly is slowly taking over "Best bike I've owned" title that was previously held by my 05 XB9SX.

    6th Gear on an Xb?

    If you have an XB9 then get a primary and chain for an XB12. It feels like you have an extra gear with it. On my Uly I've never wanted a 6th gear, but on my lightning, I was always looking for it. Hope that helps!

    Working on my wheelies

    In my experience doing wheelies on my Uly, I clutch up at like 2500 rpm and she comes straight up. That's where the torque is. The higher the RPM's the harder it is to get up.

    Every fix is just a band-aid

    Can you check that the battery is holding 14.2 V at 3000 rpms? Id check that first. If its more, you have a VR problem. If its less, you have a VR problem. Im leaning towards a VR problem.

    In case you burn your clutch boot on your header...

    here is the part number for just the boot: 38630-88 I didnt know you could buy just the boot and planned on getting a new cable since ASB and buellparts.net didnt list this in their parts. I paid $3.47
