Highlighting edge of tensioner wheel?
Can anybody fill me in on what the belt tensioner wheel is made of? It feels like hard anodized alloy. The reason I'm asking is I wondered if you could highlight the edge by taking it off and working it on progressively finer abrasive (sandpaper) on a flat surface like glass or the garage...- Baal

What bike is this?
I too suspect the Duc-Kaw blend job. Look at the inner surface and see if you have evidence of fiberglass work. Actually, now that I look at the area above the headlights, I think maybe they just grafted the headlights from a Duc into the Kawi fairing, in which case the Kawi (ZX-?) windscreen... -

I doubt it would hurt anything. You just need to make sure whichever surface or surfaces you put it on are clean and oil-free. I guess worst case is if you do that (RTV between the PCV valve and the seal in the valve cover), if it pops, the seal will pop out, rather than the valve out of the...- Baal

Wave rotors installed
As to the direction of the rotor, I don't think it matters. I called Braking, and the answer was some combination of they didn't know, didn't care, it didn't matter, and "Buell?" IIRC, they finally told me that the markings on the disc should be facing outboard, which is how I have it...- Baal

Faulty LED indicators
+1. I'm running 1125 LED signals front and rear with the aftermarket relay, and they work fine. I'd try that before I look at rebuild/repair parts.- Baal

Rotors look the biz. You need to do the hidden caliper mod in the back. I had Avons once before and they did fine. Tech's come a long way since; I'm sure they'll serve you well.- Baal

Kicked 'em off...what? Magazine covers? Don't get me wrong, but US racing ain't what it used to be, and it (1190RS) hasn't won any titles here, or set the rest of the SB field on its ear either. Ducati has almost no presence in the US racing scene, but talk to me when EBR has won something... -
Super Power Pure Deal
Like the Power Pures a lot, and can endorse SportbikeTrackgear. Peformance is great with them; the ride when fully upright is a little stiffer than the Pirellis. Can't say anything about durability; they're on the Triumph and not worn out. -
