    Grips

    I use Progrip gel grips, works for me. Keeps right-hand fatigue down since I don't have to hold the throttle grip as hard as with stock grips (and that's for any bike I've had). Only way to get better is to get the super-thick foam grips like you see on GoldWings and full-dresser Harleys, but...

    I emailed him, and unfortunately he doesn't have any spares, so he can't cross-ship. I'd either have to wait until winter or try to buy someone's stock muffler. I'll probably just wait and then go with the Hawk one when the time's right.

    So how loud or deep sounding is it? I'm considering either this or the Jardine. The noise of the Jardine doesn't bother me considering how many straight-pipe Harleys we have here on-base, but the Hawk muffler looks near-stock, and would have an easier time passing inspection, etc.

    Differences in years for hopeful buyer

    I'd like to see this as well! :) Apparently I have a rare beast, or at least one that didn't exist Stateside - a 2003 XB12S. I can only assume that the Japan-spec XB12s for 2003 is the same as the US-spec 2004s.
