    Exhaust install issue??

    Here is the picture of the pipe installed..I am getting the race ecm tomorrow along with the K&N filter. The bike runs OK right now but to tell you the truth it ran better with the simple mod to the cable on the actuator with zip ties holding the valve open on the stock pipe the bike ran awesome...

    GAXB9R well the pipe was a little short and was hitting the tension wheel so I bent the exhaust tip a little to accommodate the wheel and it works great. Did you sell yours?

    That is what I am doing. I have a local muffler shop that I am going to bring the exhaust to and have him bend it in at the point where it is hitting and he said he can still flare the tip so we will see I will post pics later when I re install it. Thanks again everyone who put there 2 cents in...

    Yes I have tried every which way and the pipe is just short and will hit the tip of the pipe so the only fix I see is bend the outer tip metal in to have clearance. It will most likely chip the black paint on the tip as it is chiped already Came that way do to poor packing when shipped no big...

    Well my bike is an 06' but my pipe does not have a metal tag on it. If there was a change in the 06 model tension arms that would explain it.The race pipe came off a 03 xb9s. Hopefully I will figure this out today. Thanks for the info this forum is really cool and a great resource of knowledge...
