    Burned a valve....

No, leaving the open loop learn disabled will not cause any issues. The factory tunes don't even use the open loop learn function. The open loop correction is applied any time during open loop operation (outside the closed loop boundries) but not at WOT or idle.

    Burned a valve....

No, you want to leave the open loop learn disabled. I can take some screenshots when I get home to point out exactly what you should be changing. If you have only been enabling/disabling the open loop learn, then you will need to start over with all your tuning efforts. It sounds like a better...

    Burned a valve....

I think you mean disable closed loop learn rather than disable open loop learn. You should leave open loop learn disabled at all times anyways. It is an option that I don't feel is beneficial. Do you have a datalog with that event saved? If not, can you reproduce the issue and datalog to...

    Burned a valve....

Of course there is. Are you using the old ECMSpy or the new ECMSpy for Mono? That should have been done from the beginning of any tuning effort.

    Burned a valve....

I am surprised you are seeing a change in the AFV on the dyno. The EGO correction is the closed loop correction applied based on the O2 sensor while in closed loop. With the factory LCL region, changes to the AFV only occur inside a very narrow operating window, much smaller than the closed loop...

    Burned a valve....

Yo cj! Not sure what is going on with my pm inbox but I am only getting emails that the box is full even though I deleted 250 old messages from it yesterday. Sorry man. Copy/paste what you had and post it here. Id like to help!

    Clutch is bad. 09 SCG

There is no extra plate kit for the XB clutches, 2hy2ride. All of the aftermarket clutch kits use the same number of plates as the factory XB setup. The Energy One kit eliminates the factory jutter spring and spring seat. The Barnett kit retains the factory jutter spring setup. Either the...

    Repair Tranmission in-Frame?

You can't swap the bearing from the outside since it is a 2006. The 2003-2005 bearings can be done from the outside but definitely not the 2006+ bearings.

    Harley and Buell clutch compatibility

The XB clutch packs are NOT the same as the XL packs. The XB uses a unique friction plate at the back of the pack, pn 37899-02A, which is required with the XB jutter spring and spring seat. You can't use an XL plate in place of it unless you remove the jutter spring and spring seat, but the...

    max rpm for xb12 ecm?

And your 09 hard limit is 7100rpm. All the 08+ XB12 models are 7100rpm stock.

    Remapping/tuning an ECM for an 08+ xb9sx

While TunerPro RT is a good option, I would highly recommend ECMSpy for Mono. You can datalog with the stock narrowband O2 sensor and/or a wideband and it will analyze the datalog for recommended changes to fueling. The user interface is much more refined than TunerPro and you are less likely to...

XB12R shifter drum falure common ?

06+ transmissions -can- fit in 03-05 engine cases -but- the proper bearings can't fit so you better not make the swap! The helical gears of the 06+ trans require the angular contact main output drive bearing which will not fit in 03-05 cases.

click here to buy cheap spare engine/transmission parts

Yes cjanderson, the shift shafts are the same for all 2003-2005 XB models. They changed to a larger diameter shaft in 2006 that continued through 2010.

    Injectors

Cosworth is right about the 04+ injectors, ~30lb/hr @ 50psi (Very important to include the fuel flow rate test pressure). The only front/rear difference is the spray direction, which is unique to the XB injectors and isn't found on any other commonly available injector.

    ECM question

Yes, the DDFI3 ecms have showerhead injector capabilities and their operation is primarily controlled by a fuel table very similar to the stock fuel injectors. The fuel delivery is a function of engine load and rpm. You can access all of the parameters using Tunerpro.

    XB12 Tranny Rebuild

What year is the bike? How many miles? That will determine what I would recommend but here are some basics: The shift forks are always a good item to replace. The dogs are part of the gears on the 03-05 trans. The newer 06-10 trans have some separate dog rings and others are part of the gears...
