    08 - 09 Tuning Info...

    I went up to JTS last week. They can dyno-tune the '08s and '09s with directlink. By far the most helpful and knowledgeable Buell tuning guys around.

    Lol, most EP-36 relays SHOULD look like the one I posted above. The way the relay works is by completing the circuit through the lights you want to blink, eg. left or right. So, the relay will not work until the circuit can pass enough current to actually power-up the coil to make it "click"...

    Yeah, I contacted Al, he said the relay works fine with all the LED's he sells on ASB... So, it cost me $.99 to get it working, I'm happy for now. Plus, I got an adjustable flash rate out of it.

    I got the LED flasher, just doesn't seem right that the relay won't work with an all LED setup... oh well, at least I have it working now.

    Safety Recall on 09 XB12SS

    I just called the closest dealer to me, they said I have to bring the bike down to have it inspected so the dealer knows which recall kit to order. Apparently there are two kits. Does this sound right?

    [mad] So I got the rest of my LED flashers in from Cycle Gear. Those and the LED flasher relay, I thought I was good to go. NOPE. The flasher you get from ASB requires a dummy load IF you plan on doing FULL LED blinkers.I installed the rest of my LED blinkers, and went to test them, no flash...

    I send an open invitation for any LEO to come ride in my car or bike while I go 90MPH in bay area traffic. I am VERY confident that I am 'safe' while driving fast. That includes vehicle maintenance too.

    Good ol' California 4 points in 12 months == Suspension I am up to 3. I found out that my bike accident added a point to my record. I got a 50 in a 35 the other month in my car, and then an 80 in a 65 on the bike. One more for a few months and I'm done. I'm all for paying the fine to go fast...

    Crossroads w/bar end mirrors

    they are hollow. The crossroads I got are solid aluminum bars bolted to the flat plate. The bars are hollow on the last inch or so for the bar-ends to clamp into. Crossroad -7degrees FOR THE WIN!!!

    I didn't ride for months following my accident. And when I did start riding, it was around the block every other day for a few weeks at first... Recovery is a slow process... At least you didn't lose a foot of intestine! [mad]

    2010 Buell LED brake light in an '09 XB12Ss

    I used the blue ones... well yellow is BIG, Red is small, blue is middle, i think they will fit 14ga wire... I just crimped the connector right on the pins i took out of the 2010 connector. the light was $57

    Step One: Remove the electrics from the orig. light. Step Two: Remove Lens and reflector housing from bike. Step Three: New Light. Pay attention to the lettering on the new lens, make sure it's right side up. Also, the LED tail light does NOT have a license plate light. Step Four...
