    Rear tire plug failure

I love my plug kit. Personally, I have had great experiences with the rubber and the rope type plugs. I am more comfortable using them on my rear tire over the front. But, I have never had one "FAIL". Since I plugged my rear tyre, I have always had to check the pressure before going anywhere...

    MY NEW '09 Lightning Long - XB12SS

flash to pass still worked... I don't know why anyone would want to swap the wires, besides, it should have been orange and yellow. orange being always on, and yellow being the low-beam that cuts out when you use the high beam (white)

    Headlight high/low beam question

forget about it. you cant stuff a H4 bulb type in a H7 hole. The headlight housings are made for a certain bulb type. if you manage to get a h4 bulb in, the position of the light will be all out of whac, causing your light to not reflect properly, than it gets worse when you activate the second...

Anyone every gotten away from the Police?

My buddy just called me and told me that he had to put his money where his mouth was. He stopped a Yamaha something doing 95+MPH on the freeway. The biker stopped for him. The rider was calm and respectful, causing no problems. Sticking to his word, my buddy said he gave him a verbal warning...

Anyone every gotten away from the Police?

First of all, I was barely able to read some of the posts in this thread. Second, Jon0341 is right. It depends on the cop. I saw a CHP doing at least 120 in the left hand shoulder chasing a GSX-R that was weaving through traffic. On the other hand, my CHP friend said he will never chase a bike...

XB12s backfires almost stalls at takeoff

Well. thats when you have to rev it at the line like a standard harley faggot... I have actually stalled off the line, and yes, it's quite embarrassing. I have a 2009 that stalls for fucks sake, AND, when you stall at a green light between lanes, your first thought? RESTART the bike and get out...

    transporting a U-lock

I use a rotor lock on my rear disc. That and the steering lock. I have gone as far as doing the rotor lock and ran the orange reminder wire through my jacket sleeve and lock it all down to the bike, I just don't have anywhere to lock gloves up. I just use the helmet lock cable and stuff m gloves...

    HID wiring problem with relays

i remember dave bitching about his ime delay relay was wired backwards, but when I was installing the relay on spymac's bike, the wiring wasn't backwards, it actually activated the relay as soon as the power was applied, then turned off after the 15-20 seconds.... so you wired the hid + to the...

    HID wiring problem with relays

If I were you, I'd be using the battery ground in addition to the harness ground. Yes you can provide more current with the battery +, but the return path needs to be equally as durable... Also, double check that the battery + is connected to the NORMALLY OPEN line of the relay or (NO) and the...

    DDM TUNING

I have RMA'd a 55w ballast, seemed to happen pretty fast. I was about to do another when it started working again... I have been happy with my kits. a set of 55W for my lightning, and another set of 55W for my car... Good stuff for the right price

How to launch at a stoplight

I do dave_xb12r's method, great thing is, I can launch and my front tire will be a few inches off the ground all through first, and is very very light in second; telling me I can't accelerate my fatass any more without turning myself over backwards

XB12 SS Lightning both lights on - HID redux

get some sleep and look at ALL of the diagrams. And yes, buells are a positive switched system. I do NOT reccomend running 2 lights off of the white wire, HID or halogen. THIS IS NOT SAFE!!! It's already bad enough that most of us are running both our headlights on the same ground, infact...
