    Broken/Seized Oil Drain Plug

    They should sell them at the Harley dealer. Contact your local bike repair shop/guy & let them remove it. Or if you know a good auto mechanic maybe he'll take it on. Personally, I'd try to drill into it with a left hand bit. It may bite enough and just come out. If not, keep drilling through...

    shifter help

    remove the pinch bolt completely, then remove the shifter. Relocate & reinstall. I recommend blue loctite on almost all fasteners. There's torque specs in the downloadable manual at the top of the page too. :)

    idling question

    i think spec is around 950- 1150rpm. Never heard of adjusting it periodically. Just set it where you like and leave it. Do the 06' 's have the iac motor? or are they adjustable via the cable like an 03'?

    Oil leak again!!!!

    I had a similar problem, I used pipe sealant but tightened the brass elbow so it sat at a 4 oclock position. this way when the engine vibrated, the line didnt' try to pull the fitting in a counterclockwise direction. This was loosening the fitting after a couple of rides. Engine shakes, oil...

    Anyone have a daily drive Xb with high miles?

    I have 62000kms in my 03' xb9s. But i did cook a crank bearing at 53000.. repaired it myself for approx $400. There is no guarantee when buying used, it's always a bit of a gamble. Nothing risked, nothing gained. [smirk]
