Anyone see anything wrong with this??

ok so with the bike on it's own weight the lower part of the fork was 4 3/16", after i tightened it down so the straps will not get slack i get 2 1/2". so that's just over a third compressed. it should be alright i hope?

Anyone see anything wrong with this??

i basicly tightend it down far enough so that when i move the bike side to side by shaking the seat the front straps don't get loose.

Anyone see anything wrong with this??

So how far exactly are you supposed to strap down the front? I have seen post on here of guys getting home and forks leaking. I don't have it bottoming out up front but I'd say the forks are compressed maybe half way or less

Anyone see anything wrong with this??

Where in the swing arm do you put the strap? Would it be better? I'm taking my bike about 500 miles on this trailer next Friday and just making sure all is right before I just take off. That's why I put it up there really quick to make sure it was ok

Anyone see anything wrong with this??

I've never towed a motorcycle so I'm just wondering if I have this strapped down right? I do have soft loops around the lower triple and I will be placing a rag underneath the rear strap. How much should I tighten the front straps?

    bike hit by forklift

My insurance guy is representing me kind of, because the contractor didn't want to cooperate and give me his insurance. He wants to pay cash and only for what he feels he needs to replace, not what was all damaged.

    bike hit by forklift

Well I don't have full coverage on my bike so my policy doesn't cover the damage, but progressive is still taking action against the contractor. He is bonded and insured. The guy was trying to screw me saying he'd pay cash for just a couple of the parts not all the damage but admitted he caused...

    braking problems

The brake pads can leave a residue on the rotor also that causes a slight shudder almost like a warped rotor. First thing I would do is make sure all the floats on the mounting points arnt stuck, second take some brake fluid and a green scotch Brite pad and clean the rotor both sides

    Tire question

I think I'm just going to get the set that are oe on the 2011 gsxr750 because it's about the same weight as my bike. I think that's the difference. I called motorcycle superstore and the guy seems to want to get off the phone and told me to get the 190 rear even though I said I wanted to stick...

    2003 XB9S: engine misfire/cut out problem

You can do a datalog and track the temp to see if it fluctuates other than it should. Also you can use a multimeter to test the temp sensor, I'd start checking and testing things before you buy something unessesary.

    Aftermarket lever compatibility verification

I have a 03 xb9r but the levers were also direct fit for all model xb12 04-08. Mine are not foldable but are shorty adjustable levers. Check out seller motomarts, they have alot of levers for buells.

    Aftermarket lever compatibility verification

The levers I bought said they would also fit all model xb12 from 2004-2008. So I'm assuming they would fit your bike. In the eBay message area be sure to put your model and year bike so the seller knows

    Non bike related question

Well usually if oil is in antifreeze it'll be a white color. I would check to see if it's getting fuel and spark to start. You can press the button in on the valve on the fuel rail to see if the line has pressure, turn the key back and forth a couple times first, gas will spray out if it has...
