    Well.....Bye.

Did you see the other fancy Manx at the very uppity Quail in Monterey? https://newatlas.com/automotive/quail-automotive-gathering-2021/ Check out picture #14. Wonder if that was the very first Manx, just to earn that podium spot. 69 pics of some other very drool-worthy toys.

Scratching my head poor running bike

Ditto on the fuel pump. It's 20 years old now. My '07 with half your miles would take forever to start up. As Cooter said, the curvy hose that's a part of the fuel pump system had developed a pinpoint hole. That whole system sits submerged in the main tank. So no external gas leak...

    Mythbusters 1125

Nah... my garage is happily full. Another post had me checking the price of XBs, which I was happy to see are holding their value. $10k is usual SF Bay Area silliness. I'm sure he'll accept payment in crypto or hipster skinny jeans...

This is a cool bit of Buell history https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/mcy/d/san-francisco-eric-buell-racing-1125r/7357688501.html I'll have to look up that episode

Sad day - crashed my beautiful '09 Firebolt today

I've been away from this forum for a while. Sorry to come back to this post. And sorry for your hit Vicenzajay. Glad you're upright and walking though. Always focus on the bright side. On your muscle pain - get something like this I had neck pain for the longest time, and these muscle...

XB9SX - check engine light, power and dimming headlights + stall

Also look up the threads describing how to mount a voltage meter on your dash. I have an '09 XB9SX. Fluctuations here can alert you of a dying voltage regulator. Wish I had paid attention to mine, before it left me on the side of the road. At least it was the PCH along the California coast, so...

    Xb12 shift pawl adjustment

That's hilarious and amazing. I learn something new from this forum every day. Though the squirrel loses weight as it starves, so it's surface area/mass ratio improves with time. Better make that 5000 miles. Then again, the poor squirrel would flash freeze in the vacuum of space first...

    Beware!

Woah, what the heck is that? You only posted it yesterday, so a little late for April Fool  Is that intake butterfly connected to your throttle cable somehow?

    XB parts for sale

That was an awesome thing you did Opto. Sorry you had such a bad experience. It seems like the core group of Buellsters on this forum are a kind, conscientious bunch. Hope that cosmic karma will pay you back in full in other ways. If not, I'll buy you an extra beer at the Whale :very_drunk:

Buell group ride up Northern California Coast March / April?

Yup, we are indeed star crossed. April 3 is my mum's birthday and she's coming up to visit. How about April 17-18 when the weather gets a bit warmer? John - lay off the Kymco's. Those things are wheeley monsters!!!

Buell group ride up Northern California Coast March / April?

Hey Buellsters, In case you missed Cooter's wonderfully written travelog, we're trying to put together a ride sometime over the next month or so. Plans totally in early stages, but maybe something like SF/Napa up to Mendocino. Just to keep the ball rolling, I've got the weekends of March 20...

Cooter and Bubbles ride to Mumzys house.

That would be a hoot to finally get to meet you all in person. Aaron, get your butt out here from AZ! Just to keep the ball rolling, I've got the weekends of March 20; April 3; April 17 available. I'll be coming up from SF, so Mendocino would be about as far north as I can go. The ride from...

Cooter and Bubbles ride to Mumzys house.

Yeah, Cape Disappointment is one soggy mess. The grey winters of the Pacific NW will make anyone want to cry. Your moto trip was a couple months back though, right? You two are totally welcome to stop by Pacifica the next time around. Hopefully we can get the West Coast gang together for a...

Cooter and Bubbles ride to Mumzys house.

Awesome writeup Cooter! Sorry you guys had such a miserable time in the Gorge. I lived up there for a year, and dare I say I love kitesurfing even more than motorcycle riding. Funny how one man's pleasure (nuclear winds) is another's torment. I just got back from a rafting trip down the Rogue...

Great post Cooter! Open vs Closed Loop was always a mystery to me, and this is the clearest explanation I've seen  I'll give you one of Aaron's beers.

    Buell is back !?!

The Vitpilen is certainly a beautiful design. Great numbers on paper. Never been on one, so wonder what that big thumper feels like. Do check out the KTM 790 Duke though. The looks can be polarizing, but it's the nicest handling bike I've been on. Great torque, deft handling, slipper clutch...

    Hey Endo

Yeah, I use the Crank Brothers on my mountain and cross bikes. Pretty secure attachment, easy to get in and out, and sheds mud the best of all I try. Back when I was more of a lycra lizard, I preferred the Look Deltas as they give a really broad attachment for my monster leg power. Not...

    New Buell for me.

The new folk here will have no idea who Lunatic Fringe is, as he's no longer listed. Last I heard, our awesome Buell guru has been elevated to the status of "The Artist formerly known as LF" and just goes by the horsepower symbol.
