    Torque limiting drain plug

TBH the FJ40 belongs to the wife. She is anxiously awaiting the addition of the power steering bits so she can drive it more. After an hour on our roads, her arms get a little tired. Sorry for the thread jack! Maybe we should take it elsewhere...

    New exhaust to XB12 2006

Dual meters with the ball floats. had to remove the air cleaner and connecting tubes, then clamp them across both SU intakes and adjust. Took at least 6 adjustments on each carb to get them right since one adjustment affects the other carb slightly.

    Torque limiting drain plug

'75 mostly, but it has a 76 top, 78 engine and front end with disk brakes all the way around. Mechanically it is very sound and we are planning on taking it down to the frame this year to repaint and fix some little things. Not sure what the prices are like where you are, but the '75 and earlier...

    New exhaust to XB12 2006

I'll add to that list of barely used specialty tools with: ... a dual SU carb air intake measurement tool for a 1975 Rover 3500S. Lightly used, mostly oxidized. I also have the custom made offset wrench to adjust the idle.

    Torque limiting drain plug

Hehe, Broke 2 sockets (one Craftsman and one Snap-on), and a torque wrench using my breaker bar on the leaf spring mounting nut on the FJ40. Didn't have a torch at the time, but bought one right after which worked great. ...and I agree on the o-ring compression...

    new guy

Welcome to your next addiction Mike! I ride a 1995 Sportster 1200, a 2000 S3T and a 2009 XB12R. All fun for different reasons. The sportster is the fastest in a straight line but the Firebolt corners better than the other 2.

    Flashers on my XB?

I commute a twisty mountain road and it is common practice to put on your emergency flashers when someone uses a turn out to let you pass (Something that new folks are not so good at). I have flashers on my Sportster and on my S3T it is not too hard to wave. However, I find it a little sketchy...

There's no place like home, there's no place like home...

Fairly new here and I my be one of those you see... (new since I got my XB12R). You want to see some grumpy but _helpful_ a-holes, try BadWeb... You guys are docile puppies comparatively. ;)

    Handling woes...

I agree with the tires, even though I am running the originals (2009) while I break mine in. New tires on my S3T corrected exactly what you are experiencing (the S3T had the original tires on it as well when I bought it).

Buellybagger"s Craigslist Deals Of the DAY!!!!!

Well, I don't think it will work for him, not being a 50 state bike and low miles. He is checking to see if he can register it at his folks house in Colorado then transfer it to CA after 6 months. Same hassle I went through with mine. He is not giving up yet.

Buellybagger"s Craigslist Deals Of the DAY!!!!!

Having a friend call now. He fell in love with my new 2009 XB12R after riding it only 20 miles (he said he was just going around the block). Thing is, he gave me tons of grief when I bought my S3T and laughed when I told him I bought another Buell. Until he saw it. He rarely rides on the...

The Best Yet-Just Imagine it's a Buell XB Lightning!

funny. The SO and I laugh at that one. I feel similar when I driver her Subaru Outback. Drivers look over expecting to see a tree hugging lesbian and are surprised to see a tie wearing old white guy. My hands are not soft though...
