    kickstand bolt broke today

    When mine broke, it didnt come off. When I went to remove it, the top half of the bolt just spun. The threaded part had backed out a touch, and still held the bike up. I noticed that every time I parked it, the bike sat at a different angle. To fix it, i drilled out the threads with a 5/16...

    Straight-up swap? Nothin' to it. Yes, locktite is your friend. Torque specs are vital. Especially on the rear axle.:D

    New to me '04 XB12R & some help.

    For the clock reset, clean your battery terminals. With sandpaper clean. That temporary cut-out of power will get worse, and you will think something is very wrong. Clean em twice a season.

    When the placement of the pulley was determined by Buell, as the swingarm travels upward, the distance between the axle and front pulley center increases. As the distance increases, the upward movement unloads the pulley and adds slack to the belt, which is taken up by the increasing distance...

    WTB, looking for firebolt parts

    I have a left handlebar. I cut my mounts off when I put handlebars on. My right one is bent, so I have no use for it. You can have it fer nuthin! I have my old clutch cable. It's in fair condition. It worked when I took it off. Reimburse me for the shipping, and ya can have them to get you back...

    DIY exhaust emulator questions......

    I'm planning on making an exhaust emulator. Using the schematic in 150 links for Buell, etc, I had no problem getting the 10k resistor, but what does the "1K2" reference mean? 1.2K Ohms? Also, the transistor, BC337. A listed substitute is the 2N4401. Will the 4401 work without issues? Thanks...

    gas guage?

    Depends on the year of yer scoot too. I believe it was the 06 that removed the hole for the snorkel and added more fuel capacity. I have an 05 12R, and get 52 mpg while being nice, and 46 mpg while rompin' on it. My fuel light comes on at 130-140 miles usually, and takes 3 or a little less...

    Let the madness begin. Same one I have. Bought mine 3 years ago with 4600-4700 miles for $5500, and now she has 19000 happy miles. Do the maintenance and ride her well. Cheers!:D
