    WTB: D&D exhaust

Moto, thanks for the offer but we got a history now me and that D&D. It's been out to PCH-1 and back w/me a couple of times now(I live in Houston), old Route 66, and New Orleans too. I just get attached to things. Silly, I know. :) Nels

    WTB: D&D exhaust

d_adams knows WTF he's talking about. If I didn't already have the D&D I would be putting in an order for one of these beauties right now. Of course I would just end up covering that beautful stainless with a black ceramic coat like I did the D&D anyway BUT it wouldn't be necessary like it was...

    WTB: D&D exhaust

+1 on the sound. I absolutely love mine and haven't found anything else like it. Not everyone's cup of tea but if it is and gets in your blood, you've had it. I've read criticism about loss of low and high end power in exchange of a strong middle which is fine by me as that's where I spend most...

    New Tires

Agate, Absolutely LOVE them! I've got about 1,000 miles on them so far, mostly commuting miles, and they still look pretty good wear wise. Have had no problems on wet roads or in the rain. I know their capabilities are beyond my abilities but I'd rather that than the other way around. :) Nels

    New Tires

190/55 Pirelli Supercorsa SP fits just fine on my Ss with tons of clearance however I don't run a hugger. Nels

rear tire has a screw in the tread can it be fixed??//???

Much respect, Netty. I would never suggest that someone engage in activities(tire repair, etc) that they are not comfortable with. While the structural integrity of the tire may be altered, we are not speaking in absolutes. This alteration does not automatically render the tire less safe. Re...

rear tire has a screw in the tread can it be fixed??//???

Found it. Thread here: http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/General-Motorcycle-Chat/Nail-hole-in-rear-tire Dunlop link here: http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/infocenter_faq.asp?id=12#faq Nels

rear tire has a screw in the tread can it be fixed??//???

Guess I need to quantify that I'd like to see an example of a motorcycle with a properly repaired tire and not a Sportmobile van(oxymoron?) with an improperly repaired one. As you pointed out loss of pressure came from a puncture. My main position is that you are more likely to suffer rapid...

rear tire has a screw in the tread can it be fixed??//???

IF a plug or patch fails its more likely to be a slow leak rather than a catastrophic blowout. An inconvenience to be sure but I like to see specific examples where a failed plug/patch caused a crash.

    Hidden Rear Caliper Mod???

Hmm, black version $180 + $25 shipping from Germany is $205, est delivery 2/7-21. Black bracket from a fairly well known US online seller is $69.95 + black Brembo caliper $120 + $14.87 UPS ground shipping = $204.82. ETA? Dunno, hopefully sooner than 2/7-21. Would have to a heckuva discount for...

    The back pressure issue ...

d_adams speaks 'struth. I cringe everytime I hear that back pressure is needed for torque. :( Nels

What's on your keyring with your buell key?

Top to bottom: '06 XB12Ss, my first ever motorcycle, purchased new from the nice folks at Ocala HD still sporting their keyfob. '09 1125CR w/a freebie keyfob I got from the Customer Appreciation day at Olympic Arms. Old school Buell keyfob I purchased for shipping costs from a fellow...

    No power, firing one cylinder

From the title I thought you were talking about a Blast in which case it's normal. :) Glad you've got a resolution. Nels

I'm Looking to Make Buell Blast Cafe Racer

Not done yet by a damn sight but CR handlebars, CR tank decals, tail chop, XB mirrors, Dan's awesome boot and intake ceramic coated, ad nauseum: <link broken> Nels

Which car should I get next? WRX or 5.0?

The funny thing about performance is that it's not the only metric some use for making their buying decisions. I know it wasn't when I purchased my Buells. I think back to a drag race video I saw many years ago between highly modified Mk IV Supra and a Lamborghini. The Supra beat the Lambo...

Which car should I get next? WRX or 5.0?

As an owner of an AWD vehicle I find it too much like cheating. :) It takes a whole lot more talent and skill to launch a RWD well IMHO. YMMV, Nels
