    XB12Ss Seat shifting

My Ss has a little play fore and aft though it seems more like <1/8" to me. What seat are you using? My stock seat was always a PITA to remove. In searching for the perfect long distance saddle I purchased the Sport, Touring, XB12STt, and Baldwin seats and they all pop right off for removal...

Any Buell Shops in the Bay Area?

Last time I was out there I had a rear tire replaced at Dudley Perkins. Can't recommend them. :( YMMV, Nels

SonderMann, Thanks, you have a good eye. The Mustang is a 1965. We spent 4 years restoring it(I would never recommend anyone restore an old car lol). Just turned 50k on the clock since we finished restoring it in ~2000. Nels

What is your Daily Driver? and or other vehicles.

konarider94, I hear ya. the first motorcycle I ever rode was an '05 Blast in a Rider's Edge course. My son was born in '05. So when I found a bone stock, non-Rider's Edge '05 Blast w/650 miles on the clock I bought it thinking it'd be pretty neat for my son to learn to ride on a) the same bike...

Rev hang after remap and TPS reset

Wow. How timely. I too own an '06 XB12Ss that I just installed an EBR ECM in. I performed the TPS reset, my first, and the bike runs great BUT coming to a stop she hangs at 2k for awhile before settling back down. Since it was my first TPS reset I figured I had bungled it and was just about to...

    Nail hole in rear tire

Some punctures in motorcycle tires can be repaired if no other damage is present. Dunlop recommends only individual permanent plug-patch repairs of small tread area punctures from within the demounted tire by a qualified tire repair shop or motorcycle dealer. Never perform an exterior repair and...

    Nail hole in rear tire

"You’ll be lucky if you get 50 miles from either a mushroom or string plug" A statement like above does nothing to advance the credibility of the author IMHO. Guess a whole lot of ppl including myself ought to go and buy lottery tickets since we're lucky. Many like myself have gotten 1000's of...

    Nail hole in rear tire

I plug my tires when I get a nail. Failure of the tire to hold air as a result of a plug very rarely results in a catastrophic blow-out, you are just as likely to get another puncture from another source. Most likely outcome is a leak to flat and an inconvenience. I've never had a plug fail...

    Anyone use Chatterbox?

Bought 3 Chatterboxes for our first CA trip. They worked fine in city speeds around 35-45 but the windshieldless nature of our bikes made them less than useful at highway speeds. I think they would prob work just fine for fully faired, big windshield cruisers or just around town. Actually need...
