    I put heat shield tape on my first buell 03 firebolt, frame and under airbox didn't notice much difference but I was trying to shield the petrol and incoming air not me and I don't ride in town much. you have to be moving to keep heat away with or without scoops, stop n go is hard on these bikes...

    plugs first, I had an 03 and it was bad for trashing plugs. they even looked fine upon inspection. rear cylinder was bad for it. and my present xb (05) sat for bout a year and the gas left in it even tho I drained it killed two sets of plugs at first. im sayin that is your prob

    Test to see if I need to grind down aftermarket brake lever mount?

    lever has to have a small amount of freeplay between lever and plunger,doesnt have to be much a 1/16-1/32 is fine. without freeplay the plunger can block return hole and cause dragging and lockup.you can check visually easy enuf

    it was Ashland bridge in background, ohio river has swelled from its banks to cover fishing dock. post is edge of concrete then drops off, ive had my buell a lot deeper than that lol. ps-a bike is a toy unless you depend on it so I have fun with mine.
