    Just putting it out there...

Hey all, Jess here, known as BuellyX1 in the tubers forum. I have a 2001 Buell X1 Lightning (hence the name). Absolutely love the bike but have been intrigued with the 1125 ever since it's creation. I've heard some guys say they wish they never got rid of their tuber for their 1125 and some say...

    '01 X1 with new "hiccup"

Ha! You're nicer than me, I would have left it with the aliens comment until someone questioned it haha. Thanks again!

    '01 X1 with new "hiccup"

Thanks a bunch toolmaker! I'll pull the O2 and check it out to see how it looks...what is the e.t. sensor?

    '01 X1 with new "hiccup"

I've had my '01 X1 for a few years now, bought it with 3900mi on it and just rolled over 9000 today. Had issues with the air temp sensor after re-oiling the K&N filter and got that squared away but she now has seemed to develop this odd, and extremely intermitent, hiccup. Literally like the fuel...

    For new tuber owners

Wow, thanks for the heads up!!! I've been in there before just to scope stuff out but never realized the potential danger. I will check it again this weekend!

XB Heads vent better than traditional X1?

Is it more efficient than the X1? Tired of oil residue on one side of my motor and not too keen on just running a hose down to dump out some where (simply because there's no real good spot to run it without it being an eyesore). Thanks for the reply!

XB Heads vent better than traditional X1?

Read somewhere in my wonderings through Buell info land that the XB models vent else where (heads from what I gather) than the traditional banjo bolts on the 'ol tubers. Anyone else hear/read/experience this? Hope you're all enjoying the riding season! Side note if there's anyone near the Eau...

    paint match for blazing orange

Could maybe try here to find any info http://www.cyclecolor.com/ID24.HTM Buell colors are listed at the very bottom of the page but there is a link near the top where you can contact them if you don't see "your color". Might help, worth a shot.

    Thoughts on crankcase breathers...

Thank you Cooter, makes sense when put in such layman terms. Is there any recommendation on where in the breather line to put a dip/loop? Like in running hose for your compressor they suggest putting vapor collectors so many feet from the compressor for maximum efficacy. Probably...

    Thoughts on crankcase breathers...

My Buell currently has the standard little breather filter, which desperately needs a thorough cleaning, but I've seen a few bikes where they just dump the hose out at whatever point they feel adequate and I've seen kits online for converting the breather points to on top of the rocker/valve...

    Probably a stupid question...

Feel stupid asking this but keep finding conflicting or vague info on this so not sure what exactly I have; if its a true White Lightning edition bike or not. White plastics, deep candy blue frame, and bare aluminum wheels with what I would describe as a wide three spoke. Tried Google-ing white...

2000 Buell X1- Air intake upgrade questions

Sorry no has posted yet bud. I bought my '01 Lightning with the Forcewinder on it so I can't compare it to anything else; though I have to say I have no complaints about it and everyone says it looks mean as heck. No knee rub and I have the rain sock for it (and have had to use it!) and when...

X1 owner toying with CR ideas

Between my wife and I we already have 3 bikes so I would probably have to let the X1 go to get a CR. Wouldn't want to, but would have to...that and I find it hard enough to try to ride two bikes let alone three. Prolly spend more time deciding which one to take rather than actually riding haha...

Tried posting to your last thread about your latest updates to your bike, but it was fighting me. Asked if the paint was a custom color or if it was a factory shade? If its factory do you know the paint color or code? Bike looks great bud, good work! Hoping to start customizing mine soon.

X1 owner toying with CR ideas

Currently own a white with that beautiful candy blue frame 2001 X1 Lightning with less than 8,000mi and usual mods: forcewinder intake, V&H exhaust, Buell Race ECM, bar end mirrors, horn delete. I've been toying with the idea of getting a 1125CR, just love the way they look, but whenever I check...

Project Buell - complete (for now)

Is that a custom shade of blue, or is that a factory color?

Do you manufacture any of the parts yourself or are they special/made to order or do you know about some holy grail buell parts site that I haven't found yet haha
