    M2 Push rod seal

It finally happened, my "Evilution" engine finally decided to mark its territory by order of a leaking push rod base gasket on the exhaust side of the rear cylinder. I know I can get the rocker box cover off with the engine in the frame, but would I need to remove the rocker box entirely in...

    My new toy/winter project.

I'm not sure if the 750's had the same oiling problems as their brothers (1100 V65) but the oil filter mod would be a big help in keeping everything well lubed. Another good idea is to replace the temp sensor that controls when the fan is activated with a lower temperature one from an 80's...

What did you do for your Buell today?

Ordered a James top end gasket set for my 99 cyclone, typical evo base gasket problems.

    new tires... your opinions please

pilot road 2 for sure since they've got the dual compound longevity. I've put 1500 miles on mine and it still looks brand new if that's any testament, my friend rides a 'busa and got 8k out of his.

    If Buells didn't exist...

I'd either be on a 1st gen v-max or a Honda V65 Magna, but with the Magna I'd probably be on the side of the road for pre-mature cam failure.

    99 M2 Tach Cup

I've got almost all the parts I need to install a tach on my M2, but I noticed I'm missing the gauge cup for the tach. Since I'm using an X1 mounting bracket would I be able to use any other cup without having to modify it? I can do some light redneck ingenuity but I'd prefer not to if I can...

    Starter gasket

Well, the inevitable finally happened, the starter gasket on my 99 Cyclone just blew out yesterday, was thinking of fixing it myself but I'm not sure. Has anyone else done this before? I don't wanna take it to the dealership if I can help it even though I've dealt with them before and they're...

What did you do for your Buell today?

Showed her off to my friends, they didn't believe it was a 1200 until I fired her up... Then gave her some fresh 93 and a hour of cleaning until it started raining on me mid-day :/

How many bikes have you owned? No lying!!

    I'm going to include the vintage dirtbikes just so they get some recognition. 1. 1981 Suzuki RM60 2. 1976 Yamaha DT175 3. 1977 Yamaha DT400 4. 1985 Yamaha YZ490 (the bike that scared me away from dirtbikes) 5. 2007 Suzuki Boulevard S50 6. 1999 Buell M2 Cyclone

    Bar end mirrors

Alright, this will be my last post for the night, but I was looking for some input on bar end mirrors. I looked at the low profile ones most people are running and though they look alright, I noticed the triumph thruxton has bar-end mirrors from the factory, I know they're both the same 7/8"...

    How far til reserve?

This may sound dumb, but as a noob in the world of Buell I have to ask it. I was out riding today when my engine started spitting and stalled out on me, I switched it over to reserve and it fired right back up. However, this was after only about 130 miles (and 3 gallons). I thought this was a 5...

Let's see some customized tuber pics

From the research I've been doing the 99 model year was the first year the Thunderstorm heads were factory installed, at least on the M2s.

The biggest mistake Harley ever made.....

I had a similar experience when I was out cruising around town. I was doing about 40 when a random R6 blew by me doing around 70, all I could think was "what an asshole" then he slowed down next to me, and after checkin out my bike gave me a thumbs up and sped off again. It feels good to own a...

    Ethanol blended fuel question....

The cyclones were all carbed to keep the cost down since it was buells entry level bike prior to the introduction of the Blast.

    More Cyclone Troubles

Yes they do, I'll have to check that once the rain stops so I can take the cover off the bike.

New forum section for Buell X1, M2 and S3 riders

Hey everyone, one more tuber for the books, just bought my 99 M2 a couple weekends ago with about 18K, now has closer to 19K. The bike has ceramic coated headers, vance & hines muffler, k&n filter on a forcewinder intake, and breather kit installed. Talk about bang for the buck, I got it on the...

    More Cyclone Troubles

I own a 99 Cyclone and I was having the same issue more or less, I would start checking the ignition system. I don't know the specifics of your problem but I assume that you (like me) pulled in the clutch and opened the throttle to try to save it. Then once it dies you shut off the key, turn it...
