    Check all your grounds at the Steering head... Also Look at the inside of all controls on the handle bars...

    What mods have you done... Exhaust, K$N etc... or None... If none... Start with Grounds... Look Mainly at the Steering Head... Next is check the connectors on the ECM... Check the connectors for the VR and Stator for Corrosion... Also... Check your Voltage at the battery at Idle and 2500 rpms...

    Stator Issues: Check the procedure in the Book for Check Stator Out Put... Which If this is going on could lead to VR Failure... You also should really take a hard look at your Grounds...

    Just a quick note... When I replaced my stator... I had the same issue as POS90... The Plastic holder for the Wires was 3mm thicker... I pulled the one off the old stator, and replaced it with the old one... Dealer said I was full of crap until I showed them...

    How old is your battery? Also check the voltage with a multimeter with the bike running and off. Check your grounds, and battery terminals to see if they are loose... Could be a Voltage Regulator, or stator also... Follow the steps in the Manual.... Some great info... There are also some...

    Starter Gasket, or Rocker Box Cover... Also check you Air Filter, Unless you have done the Breather Re-route... If you have done the Breather Re-Route, Check all of your Fittings/Hose's.

    Check this out... For a guy that has some mechanical skills... Here it is... BTW... LOWES Kobalt 1/2 18V Lithium Impact Tool... Good ... No... Great Idea... Also the Brass door hinge... Excellent.. Here is the burnt spot... Damn did this ever cause some havoc for like 3 weeks....
