    Off Ramp runs

    If you shift your weight, you use less of the tire. That leaves you a safety margin for emergancy manuvers. You should be at least shifting your weight to the inside of the corner. ie: when going through a right hand corner, your left butt cheek should be where your right butt cheek normally...

    Air filter piping relocate mod

    Is this something with the factory airbox?? I have a 06 XB12Ss that had an airbox deleate already done when I bought it. Bike did not like to run under 2500-3000rpm. Breather re-route and NGK plugs solved most of the problem. Now the only time I have a slight stumble is under 1500rpm.

    Are you sure it was fuel?? I get more condensation is my catch can then anything else. If it is fuel, might be a valve or intake seal is going out……….just a guess/things I would look at.

    The wires along the pump, inside the frame, is where there are problems. If they are chaffed it would explain the running funny and your fuel sensor problem. No idea on the fan affecting idle, sounds like there might be a short somewhere that is pulling more juice then normal. Fan motor could...

    you could always put a 2x4 between the front tire and triple tree, then you can crank down the straps without worrying about the fork seals.

    Nice looking bike:) IMO the Ss can be a better first bike then a S. Little more rake to the front end and 2in longer wheelbase makes it more stable and less likely to pick the front tire up.

    400 miles is the longest trip I've made. I do multiple 200-300 canyon rides every summer.
