    The bike has been great. I just turned 10k miles on monday, I had an exhaust clamp break, that was my fault, I over torqued it when I installed my exhaust, other than that everything is good.     I bought mine two years ago. It is a 2003 XB9R. The guy who had it before me bought it new and only rode it 1,400 miles. he did the 1K tune up and that was it. I paid $4,100 for it. I just turned over 10K miles today.

    XB12R Fuel pump problems

    another update... pluged in the trouble shooting plug and it came up with exhaust servo and fuel pump. are these usually connected???

    we put the bigger fuse in just to see what the pump did. as for the warrenty he bought the bike used and there is go warrenty so he is out of luck. we will be tracking down some wires and see what happens, we have a service manual.

    Special OPS

    I have a Special Ops pipe on my 9. When I go out with other people they say it doesn't matter where I am in the group they can hear me. I love it. I like passing cruisers and getting the double take.

    What about the headers? I have heard of people swapping headers. I can't remember if it is 9 to 12, or 12 to 9. I believe they are a little different.

    I just did it to mine. I used a hack saw./ I cut it a little high. That way I could sand it down to get it smoth. I then took a block of wood about 10 inches long put some sand paper on it and went to town. turned out really good. kenney
