    i either use straps or you can do it under the swing arm behind the oil lines, or on the side of the swing arm. or on the motor like oh9bolt said

    its not knocking bad, its a quiet knock lol. so i dont believe the damage is bad. i have a guy that can possibly rework the crank if it isnt badly scored. shit while im at it i will velocity port the heads haha.

    yup after 70k glorious miles the buell started knocking. need some help trackin down a stock rebuild kit for a 04 xb12. havnt tore it apart quite yet , so i dont know the extent of the damage. but any info on part suplliers would be great

    just be sure you are spinning the axel counter clock wise to remove it . unlike the front which is clock wise removal.

    i agree with what medicbpm and lando said about the fan going out, it happened to me as well cus of the breather grommet being jacked up. glad to hear its only a minor issue.

    could be the breather popped out or is leaking. if its the rear cylinder rocker box or head gasket , your looking at about 2.5-3.5 hours to remove the motor from the frame ,then another couple hours replacing the gaskets depending on which one it is . it could be done in one day .

    first wash all the parts then i would go ahead and wetsand with 320 ,then primer sealer then wet sand the primer sealer with 600 . then spray color then clear . you could even use bullydog plastic adhesion promoter before you useprimer.

    i had the exact same problem. when my oxygen sensor was failing. so i went into ecm spy and turned off the o2 sensor and the learn mode and it ran fine till i got another o2 sensor. and btw it didnt show on the error codes that the sensor was bad either

    try changing all the relays and check the main fuse on the side of the battery its coverd with a plastic cover so you wont see it right away. the main fuse is those goofy square ones with a see thru top

    chances are your only going to have to replace the seals` and dust covers , harley does stock those parts` i think they have multiple applications on cruisers , lol that could be why
