    The HEAT, man--THE HEAT!!

I never had a problem with my XB. But then I always wore jeans and 12" boots. I did have the Spec Ops under seat heat shield. That was the only warm spot. No juevo cooking here. :D

DMH, nice pix. Definitely room for 37's when you wear out the 35's. Nice paint job. (Mud that is.)

@ DMH, trim a little on the forward pinch weld on the rear wheel well and you should fit 37's. My 32's looked tiny after I did the lift and crusher flares. Looks nice. Have you added and armor underneath? I gain another 1.5" of ground clearance in the middle with the River Raider Off Road...

Gotta love having choices. :D When you go to any off road park or destination, Jeep dominates. It is hard to beat for affordability and customizing options. When I told my sister what I had planned, she couldn't stop herself from still playing "big Sis." Her immediate response, in her most...

Here is an "instruction" video from when I had my 93 YJ. This was fun. http://youtu.be/qfYtkSuKPYs And this one I did a brief "wheelie." Both front wheels came up.(3:46) http://youtu.be/CMcpDyjQ5Ec

I have my CB mounted on a bar tied to the forward bars. I never took it down for driving when I had a YJ. Probably won't now either. :)

RIPP has a nice kit. Still major bucks. About $5K for the stage 2 kit that includes the intercooler. Plus another $1K to $2K for install depending on who does it. I'm happy with it for now. If I win the lottery, the upgrade list will get long again. 6.4L HEMI, 60's turning 40's. A new garage to...

@ Boston, G-Waggy is a major waste of money. You can build two or three sweet JK rigs for what that costs. And a Built JK turns a lot more heads than any Merc. :D

Ha Ha. Pix of other 4x4's are always welcome. Even Flying Yotas. :D Yes, my Rubicon has lockers. Comes from the factory with e-lockers. Normal operating is as an LSD. Off road push a button and the lockers activate. Also has electric sway bar disconnect. The Rubi also comes with a kickass...

"looks really nice - love the look of the Rubicon. Those tires noisy?" No. They are actually quiter than the stock 32" BFG MT. :D Rock Krawler 2.5" lift Bilstein 5100 shocks Poison Spyder Customs front ans rear bumpers, and brawler rockers and Crusher flares (Metal, Linex coated) River Raider...

My old YJ had a 3.5" lift and only fit 33's. This time I have a 2.5" lift and 37's. Gotta love progress.

To keep myself from missing my Buell too much I continued my build plan on my Rubicon. Now my kids really like it when I drop them off at school or pick them up. :D

Anyone do highway riding on an XBS with a windscreen?

Another thing, take a glucosamine supplement. Since I am older, I also took Vitamin I before a long ride. But now I am on a daily NSAID for DOA. When riding from Greensboro to Wilson NC I always stopped halfway for a juice or water. The one drawback to the mesh jacket is moisture wicking. On...

Anyone do highway riding on an XBS with a windscreen?

I must be an odd duck. I have never been bothered by "unprotected" highway riding. I came across country from Albuquerque NM to Boston MA in 4.5 days. The only time wind protection might have made it a little more comfortable was the cold mornings going across the desert. Even in July it cools...

I had an '09. Learning ECM adapted perfectly to the K&N and Hawk without any remap. Gotta love automation.

Right and wrong: analyzing after the crash

@Johnny. Those 360Ts were tough little bikes. My room mate at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver had one back in 1980. It hauled us both up in the high mountains. What a blast that was. :D

Last Picture before custody changed hands

It will definitely no be under as much strain since the new owner and his friend that will be riding it a lot both weight about 120 pounds less than I do. I think just maybe I weigh more than both of them combined. Ride safe and keep her in one piece John. :D
