    I've heard the clips on both, and they both sound great, just mainly don't want what you describe.. A CEL or to mess up the ECM. I guess my curiosity is on any performance difference.

    I have a Hawk on right now, love the sound and have it DDF3 tuned to it with KN and open airbox. I picked up a Buell race muffler locally, and was going to clean it up and give it a shot. Any one have experience with both mufflers on an XB9? Would the tune be that much different on each?

    Need the 41mm lower triple. Newcastle and Surdyke seem to be the best place for this. ... Seals?? I just told the shop to replace with the standards.

    Don't forget the shortened kickstand... Thrstrmech, would they need the lower triple for an 05 or is 05 already 41mm? G - Where are you located? I have a low seat you can try out if in MInnesota area. I have an SCG as well, She could also see if the suspension is low enough.

    Rear shock only would probably mess with the geometry and possibly handling capabilities. I don't think it would even lower it that much. Whole swap to scg suspension would be best, lowers just over an inch

    Lower suspension.... I'm 5'8" with a 30 inseam. I tip toe on my SX. Just changed to SCG suspension with gel seat and I can just barley flat foot it. Low seat is like riding on cardboard.

    I would focus more on finding any quality used XB, and then just buy the blue plastics or see if anyone would want to trade. The only items that are HB would be the airbox and windscreen. I believe both can be bought new from ASB for around 300.
