Question for the fox body mustang guys.

I'm not one to *keep* tape on my stuff, but I'm not one to blow $200 trying to troubleshoot a problem either. Like was said earlier, the last thing you want to do is spend $$ before you know what the problem is. Go cheap finding the problem, then spend the $$ once to fix it. [cool]

Question for the fox body mustang guys.

You don't have to buy any of the stuff around the radiator if it's not the problem, just use duct, or masking to avoid the residue, tape and plug everything off. All the holes and cracks in the core support. Those lower air dams are pretty important, you may want to source one of them...

Question for the fox body mustang guys.

If you don't have the air dam available, you should at the very least, plug every single hole around the radiator. The better the seal around the rad/core support, the more the air pressure on the nose of the car will be able to force air through the radiator and into the engine compartment. A...

Question for the fox body mustang guys.

Dunno if fox bodies had them, but a lot of cars had an air dam under the radiator that caused a pressure differential on either side of it forcing air to flow through it. Since I don't see one in your pics, and the problem occurs when the car is in motion, my guess is the pressure underhood is...

    New Bueller - 2003 XB9S

Nice bike, looks just like mine. Only clean. :D I did plugs and an oil, engine and primary, change on my bike when I first got it. You may want to check your air filter and the condition of your drive belt as well. From what I understand the 03(possibly other years) drive belts were only good...

    New guy

The colors on the bike are how I picked it up from the guy's house. The finish looks to be the same on all the black engine stuff, some sort of wrinkle coat, so I'd assume it's factory. Thanks for the welcome, MrF.

    Buying Michelin Tires... Help!

I'm currently running the Pilot Road 2ct's as well. I wanted Pilot Powers, but after accidentally dragging the side of my boot sole through 2 corners I can see they have more capability than I have ability at this point. If they end up lasting longer than Pilot Powers do, then they're a win-win...

Thanks for the link, Adams! That rim clamp looks like something a fellow could throw together himself over the winter. I'm pretty used to barring tires on an off, but I really don't have a way to hold the rim. I did go on a trip this weekend. I had to get out of the county so I hit the...

Oh, and Snrus: My Dodge (I'll never call them Rams :p) is a '90 W250. 5.9 Cummins with the old VE rotary injection pump. AFE filter and home made inlet tube, 62 over 75mm compound turbos, water to air aftercooler setup that I've made (though I'm going to a factory-style heat exchanger now for...

Annnnnnnd, I'm back. Call the tire guy again today, for those of you in the know of my current tire drama, and finally get him to tell me how much I owe him for the tires it took 2 weeks to get. $390... [down] I suck it up and get the $ out of the bank thinking it's all over and I can just...

    New guy

If I do anything it'll be a frame replacement. I'm not a fan of all the silver on the bike, especially the wheels. They're too hard to keep clean. One good ride and there's dust thrown back into every crevice around the disc brake mounts. I may look into blacking it out, as played out as...

    New guy

Yeah, Texan, I'm semi-dissapointed that I have less in this bike than my turbos on the dodge and I think I could walk that poor thing in 2nd gear. Another local guy here has another compounded 1stgen that's properly tuned and I offered to race him on the Buell. :D It's a depressing thought...

And yes, it has an SCG seat and suspension on it, but the 'bar clamp is marked XB9S. I like it this low, so I'm not going to change anything.

PARTING OUT 2004 xb12s no reasonable offers refused

It's not as old as I am, but it's got a lot more miles on it. ;) Any other ?'s on it, feel free to ask in my newly founded thread. We both know it's not for the bike. [cool]

Hello, everyone. If you've been looking for used, and now possibly stolen Buell parts tonight you may already know me. I'm from Cheshire, Ohio, waaaaaay down in the southeast corner. I picked up an '03 Buell XB9S a month or so ago and have been riding it mercilessly since then. Not counting...

Yeah, Texan, I'm on CompD. My thread s so ridiculous at this point that I just link to it in my sigs on ll the forums I'm on and don't post it anywhere else, but I do post occasionally on CompD. Here's a pic for anyone interested in the actual truck. I guess Sandie isn't using this thread...

PARTING OUT 2004 xb12s no reasonable offers refused

Much appreciated, guys. [cool] I should warn you that if I start a thread about my bike I will take it just as wildly off track as I'm taking this one. I don't like starting new threads so I just keep my main one going. That won't be a bad thing here, would it?

Thanks, snrus. :D I'm on most of the diesel forums one way or another, but my main haunt is 1stgen.org. Same username there, and a 62 page thread full of BS (literally) to prove I'm not from San Diego. ;)

PARTING OUT 2004 xb12s no reasonable offers refused

The tire guy was babbling to me about these Buell rims. He said they didn't have the groove in the center that the bead slides down into to allow the other side to get over the wheel. Any truth to that? I've got everything I need to change tires in the shop, I just didn't want to screw...
