    Glowing headers

Bike already has a EBR race ECM on top of Spec Ops pipe and a K&N filter. It also was dynoed recently and AF ratio is within norm, 5 runs, same results. Buell tech said it's normal for the header to get red after the bike idles for a while at a red light at full operating temp.

    Glowing headers

Loki, i never said anything about headers burning me. Just wanted to make sure my bike wasn't running really lean, therefore really hot. I guess if i had a really lean running bike which caused my headers to glow red i should just cover them up and forget about the problem.

    Looking to buy 00 M2

I found a 2000 M2 at a decent price, thinking about buying. I am going to go look at it today or tomorrow. Not really familiar with the tubers as i ride a XB12R. Would like to know what to look for and known trouble areas, if any, also the bike has 30500 miles on it. How much life is left in the...

    Glowing headers

Thanks for the input everyone. Twisted, i understand basic operation on an internal combustion engine and that headers, regardles of number of cylinders, or configuration are always coming off the cylinder to expand the exhaust gases. I had few bikes before that, straight fours from 600cc to...

    Glowing headers

So i was on my home tonight, about 6:30pm, just got dark. Stopped at a long red light, right before i got rolling again i looked down and noticed the header pipe coming off of the front cylinder was nice and red. Anybody else has this going on?

    idle question

You need the battery connected and power on. To reset the TPS on 08 and up bikes you turn the ignition on, killswitch on, rotate the throttle from full closed to full open 3 times pausing at each postion for at least a second. Turn ignition off and then back on and you are done.

    idle question

I got an 09 12R with Spec Ops pipe, K&N and an EBR rece ECM. It idles at around 2k rpm on start up, after it warms up it idles at around 1050 to 1100 RPM. Do the TPS reset if you haven't yet and then take it for a "learning" ride running the bike at 3K RPM or more for few miles. I'm pretty sure...
