    Definetely losing weight. My new subframe will be laser cut aluminum (vs the current 5 lb steel tube subframe), and the new muffler is 1.7 lbs I believe (vs current 3-4 lb I built).

    Not possible to do under the tail on an XB like that first bike, I'd love to but there's no way to get tubing thru the back of the frame without running it behind the left side peg and back up to the tail, but you're just gaining weight at that point for looks. which is a waste.     Body work is getting pretty close for finish sanding. Then I scored this for $300! It's trashed because the swing arm mount is broken, but now I can build headers off this instead of my own bike.

    Progress Lowered the rear of the air box down. Considering a single sided output for the exhaust to fit the cafe look... And FYI, I'll still have the P-51/military paint theme with this cafe style bike.

    Engine and chassis weight

    Looking for the approximate weight of the 1203 complete engine and the bare chassis. If any of you have these laying around, weigh them and let me know! I'm starting to build a new bike and need some numbers, just don't have my own bike apart yet to weigh them myself. Thanks Tyler

    That thing looks like a pile of crap. Dake arbor presses are what you should be looking for if you want something you can rely on.

    Fairing isn't going to be happening, I like the naked look too much and it wouldn't match the cafe theme. Exhaust is coming off and I'll be building its replacement this spring. Along with powder coating the frame, pulling the engine apart again, and finishing the body work. Cant wait to start...
