    Boots

I have worn motocross boots for years,..riding motocross or dirt. Don't recomend for street use. They are bulky for street use,& come up closer to your knees than street/road race boots. They protect well, but combersome for any street use. Now if you do dual sport rides they are the best choice.

    Looking at getting a Ulysses

I love mine,it's an 09 XT. It corners great & can lean alot, even slow. Very torque-e at lower rpm range, tops out at 7 grand but thats the limiter kickin in. Not a dirtbike ,but handles dirt much better than crotch rocket or cruiser. At times I wish there was an adjustible handle bar setup so...

    Insurance... Full? Liability?

Make sure the "uninsured/Underinsured" section is 100,000 or more. Alot of people don't cary enough liability to cover your injurys if it is there fault, which means you have to look to your insurance to make up the difference. I'm told in extreme situations you can use that part of your car...

Uly at 2k and 2.5k revs.......... jumpy?

Not sure "jumpy" is what mine does, more like "lopes" at that rpm level. Really bad in 35 to 40 mph sections . I took it as normal & gear down to bring rpms up. I'll be watching this thread to see what people find, thanks.

    It's only getting better

My Ulysses did the spit thing really bad, I got the comfort kit installed & a reflash of ecm was done. It is much better , but on occasion,it still will spit back. It dosent die ,but makes you think it will. If you can stop the pop/spit please post what you found. It is a minor annoyance but...

    Brake in

Congrats on the new Uly! I love mine, & the reprogram from the rider comfort kit stopped the fan from running after shut down. Haven't ridden in high heat after reprogram. I did give my bike a 700 mile break, to break in, now I will put it on the rev limiter every so often. The power range...

Anyone Running the Factory "Rider Comfort Kit" ECM Re-Map?

I have the kit installed, helps a little with the right leg cooking, but still gets hot (cool weather here now so just right) the fan tends to run more when moving & cut off when slowing and stopping. I still get a induction backfire at times when bliping throtal to take off, but better than it...
