    lots and lots of questions

I am with tyler. When I bought the 1125, I was looking hard at the BMW S1000RR, but I just couldn't argue with the fire sale prices. I have probably spent more than that on mods and I love my bike. The KTM wasn't available in the US at the time and the price was stupid on the few sold in...

    Good to know Mike. Thanks![up]

    Oil Filters 1125???

tater, they are referring to the large o-ring around the metal cover for the filter. It is recommended to replace when replacing the filter. I got a bag of 50 of them from McMaster-Carr for a few bucks. Screw HD! I also get my filters from: http://www.powersportsuperstore.com Four for a...

    Extended Warranty Yes or No

Tork, that is not really true. The dealer cannot force you to have all periodic maintenance done by them to keep the warranty valid. The warranty is good as long as all the maintenance is done, even in your garage, as long as you have receipts as proof. I have been keeping a maintenance log...

    is it true?

I would love to get that for track days.

    Extended Warranty Yes or No

I bought the extended warranty when I got the bike during the fire sale and I haven't regretted it. Of course it was also offered at half price at the time to help sweeten the fire sale deals. I got it because at the time I figured it would give HD more incentive to support the bikes. I have...

    Need pictures quick!

If the "K" bracket that holds the radiator to the engine isn't bent or cracked, then that is how it is supposed to be.

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

Go for it. That sounds pretty interesting. I am curious to see how it will turn out, I bet it will look great. I am a fan of the bare aluminum frames on the 1125 race bikes.

    1125 Headers Wrapped

They coated inside as far as they could spray. It probably does cool the whole riding experience some, but I still find the bike awfully hot on a hot summer day. I did notice that even the coolant temps seem to stay lower now. The CT's used to routinely top 200 in traffic in the summer, they...

    1125 Headers Wrapped

Oh, and yes the headers do stay a lot cooler than the original. They are cool to the touch almost immediately after shutdown. If that is a bad thing, this is the first I've heard of it.

    1125 Headers Wrapped

I know it's an "R" but I LOVE my ceramic coated headers. I had it done by GrandStand Designs in Jersey, quick turnaround, great work, good prices and they know Buells. If you want you stock headers done, they have exchanges ready to send right back to you. Great people.

    battery died during a ride????

The stator/regulator issues are becoming more common on 09's than the weeping clutch. I have heard that HD has an upgraded stator. A few 09 owners have tried upgrading the stator at Custom Rewind to the tune of about $100. They use a more heat resistant coating on the windings. People have...

how bout some pics of the 1125 beauties out there??

One more. I love the way the pipes almost blend into the engine with the coating color.

how bout some pics of the 1125 beauties out there??

The latest of my bike with full exhaust, EBR ECM, Ohlins shock mounted. Loud, but sounds badass. GSD coated the headers, midpipes and collectors with Tungsten Gray ceramic coating.

    Proud New Owner

I'm another one who pushed the fuel light too far. I managed 27 miles to no fuel... I now interpret the light as "get fuel NOW!"

    2011 1125R?

I remember the Cycle World article saying that the Barracuda they test rode still had a stock 1125 motor and the guy only got a short road ride on it so he couldn't really push the bike but it was an obvious improvement. I do like the looks but I think EBR has hit a home run with the styling of...

    UP-GRADE

I had read $35k somewhere for the 1190 so I guess it went up. Uhhh...no. For that kind of money I would rather have a real exotic like an MV or Bimota or for a track only bike an NCR Millona or while I am spending in the stratosphere, I would drop the $81K for an NCR Ducati 848. I thought I...

    Exhaust decisions.

The exhaust decision is indeed a tough one. Surprising given the limited production of 1125s, but it is a good thing. Dean does indeed make some gorgeous and great working exhausts. Barkers performs just as well, weighs less and is a bit cheaper, no doubt the best bang for your buck, just not...

    Taylor Made cases

I have them on my bike. Haven't crash tested them yet and I hope I never do, but those things are light and thick and look and feel durable as hell. They clink like billet when you tap them together. Really nice bits.

Anyone else running hot on the 1125R?

The radiator fans have been failing on these bikes too. I had one go bad and it was popping the fuse for both fans. There have been a few reported on BWB as well. That will definitely cause your bike to run REALLY hot above 70 or 80 degrees and when stopped. You don't want to be stopped for...
