Solenoid removal will not take Charging Recall?

I guess it is fine if you haven't had the charging system try to burn out your stator. My bike died entirely and the harness upgrade wasn't an option. I had previously de-noided my bike, and my dealer is Buell savvy. They left the noid out and plugged the harness in where my resistor was for...

Beeping noise on shut down 1125R

It is normal. I noticed mine doing it today for the first time. If you listen closely, you can hear a whirring sound after the beep. It is the fuel pump. My best guess is to keep fuel pressure in the line so you don't get vapor lock if you try to restart it while it is hot.

Gas overflow tube? Boiling gas in tanks!!!

I've read on one of the other forums about people feeding the line into the airbox, so you are just adding the fumes to the fuel/air mix. Unfortunately, mine also vents liquid gas immediately after a fill up if it is hot. I would like to remove the passenger pegs, but I haven't figured out the...

Gas overflow tube? Boiling gas in tanks!!!

Yes, boiling gas is a common occurance. It doesn't hurt anything, but the fumes can be a pain. My solution has been to leave the bike parked in the drive for half an hour or so, or leave the garage door open until the bike cools.

    Clutch Master Cylinder Problem

Sorry Aussie. I had hoped they had resolved this problem for the 2010 bikes. Try www.badweatherbikers.com If you ignore the Toolsheds, they have the best info about Buells to be found. If I despense any pearls of wisdom here, I probably got it from the BadWeb.

    A legit race? 09CR vs 07 600rr

The factory performance numbers on the 1125 are comparable to a GSXR-750. With riders of equal skill levels, an 1125 should beat any 600, drag strip or road course, all day...

    Clutch Master Cylinder Problem

I would also check with my dealer and have them order the parts and just top off the fluid. If it isn't squirting out like a squirt gun (happens), you should be able to continue to ride and top off the fluid until the parts are in.

    Clutch Master Cylinder Problem

Wow, not to be a jerk, but you guys should check out BadWeb once in a while. I hate that forum because people can be jerks over there, but this issue has been discussed ad nauseum. The clutch leak happens on virtually every 1125. Hasn't happened on mine yet, but I am fully expecting it...

    kick stand dangerous?

I have never pulled away with it down. I reflexively kick it up whenever I thow a leg over. I have gone to raise it only to find it already up. I am more likely to forget to put it down when I park. Luckily haven't done that either. Being a pilot, I am always thinking "gear down and...

    2008 1125r oil leaking!

I would be ok with a new motor too. It should be fine and assuming it is a 2010 motor with the oil window and all the fixes, you will be way ahead of everyone else. It sucks that you will be without a bike while it is taken care of, but I am also a little jealous of the new engine.

    Uh oh...problems!

Is it a motor oil leak or the ever present clutch oil weep? Nearly every 1125 seems to get that one eventually. Where is your coolant leaking from? I believe I have heard of water pumps developing leaks occasionally. Do a search on some of the other forums as well. Hopefully it is still...

    1125 exhaust shootout date set

I am excited for the results. I have been leaning toward the Keda RT-3, or FMF full if the funds are there, but I am dying to know how the various exhausts do. I would love an HPE, Drummer or Free Spirits if it weren't for the price. Glad I held out this long to get one. I'm planning on an...

    Experimental 1125R

That body kit is aftermarket Euro stuff made or bought by Pegasus Racing. I am not a fan, I think it looks like ass, althought the forced induction is a good idea. The rider for Pegasus is a freaking giant for a racer and he didn't like the stock 1190RR bodywork (which is gorgeous btw) because...

    Blown Engine?

Yeah, BadWeb sucks balls. If you say anything negative about Buell, you are called a troll and mercilessly abused by the "believers". The problem begins with the site owner. He draws the line at saying anything negative about these bikes, and if you are pissed about a legitimate problem, you...

    1125 fuel economy

Just out of break in (850 miles or so). I've been averaging 29 mpg on the dash. Not been riding for economy yet. I'm expecting better when I switch back to synthetic oil and start running constant revs in cruise. It's all been relatively cold weather mileage too so far.

"Yes it's owned by Harley, No it doesn't have a Harley engine...at all..."

Yeah, I'm over 40. I have no intention of hanging up the sportbikes. If I ever feel I need something more comfortable, I'll get one of the big Beemers. FUHD!

Pictures you say? Exhaust, HID, etc.

Nice pics Maskido. Thanks! Despite the negative reviews, I still think the Jardine is the best looking slip-on for the bike. I never considered HID lights. Now you have me thinking... Acepilot...what spiderweb cracks? Being color molded plastic with lots of flex, I wouldn't expect any...

    Newby Question - De-Noid

It is a pretty straightforward operation. Be careful about replacing the airbox cover if you aren't familiar. Might be a good idea to take pics and look at how the breather hose and gasket are beforehand so you put it all back like it was. I think that is the hardest part of the "mod"...

    timing

I had almost exactly the same thing happen to my '09R. The dealer is picking up the bike at my house late this week, but won't have parts for two weeks. I mentioned that the stator is probably wasted. Hopefully they won't wait until after they look at it to order up a new one. I will be...
