    My Bike DIED while driving. Any idea on identifying electrical SHORT?

    U've got electricity from ur ground cable flowing to ur main fuse somehow. Could mean ur voltage regulator is blown/grounded and its popping ur main fuse. Check ur voltage regulator plugs for ohms or voltage.

    I'm 6.5ft @ 270lbs. Rode a '07 firebolt for 4 years. Got cramped at times but never became an issue. When its 2 wheels its really a matter of hanging-on vs being comfortable. Comfortable is when ur on 4 wheels I think

    yeah its the voltage regulator. regulator went out and it discharged the battery. new battery wont last very long. 2003-2007 had defective regulators. the factory upgraded them in 2008. u'll need a new regulator and upgrade kit.

    Soak the new plates in trans fluid over nite. Measure old plates for thickness (.001). Determine warping and wear and exact places. Make sure u install correctly. Facing the right way. Check operation of new plates before install to.

    Without the hi-flo its possible. Ur race can is pulling exhaust out faster. The race maps are fueling different fuel/air values. A stock air filter would not allow the correct air flow to compensate for the fuel ratios. A hi-flo would allow the air needed for the ecm to find the right air/fuel...
