    Opinions on Bell RS-1 Helmet with Transitions Shield

    I have the Bell Vortex helmet with the transitions shield. The shield is great. Darkens quickly and get's pretty blacked out overall. If I'm riding in to the sun as it's approaching the horizon I still need glasses but other than that it takes care of business. Thumbs up for the shield for sure...

    I totally agree with zero & thrstrmech. I've had no problems/spidering/cracking at all with mine. I use small black rubber O-rings at the top/head of my 4 tank bolts and tighten them all the way down snug. No issues. And yes, parking lot stares are pretty funny when they're trying to figure out...

    I feel ya. I had the same concern when I was contemplating gutting & Frankenstein'ing my muffler. I went ahead and did it anyway and couldn't be more happy with the results, both cosmetically and sound-wise. I say go for it (...say's the guy that doesn't have to pay to fix it if it screws up).

    need info on MODing your stock airbox

    Since the left side of the airbox has the 4 vertical sections and the right side is solid I'm currently considering 'dremeling' out the Buell Pegasus (above) in the right side of the airbox then adding red LED's inside for a backglow. Could look pretty good with my Cherry Bomb airbox cover...
