    Gave Pinky an oil and filter change. Used Mobil One full synth and Purolator PureOne filter. The Purolator mustard yellow does work, so hit it with 2 coats of Rustoleum Orange.     P.S. - Orange oil filter started as a mustard yellow Purolator PureOne. Orange paint is all I had on hand but recommend black.

    Is this eminent crank failure?

    My '08 XB12S does not have the knock. Snorting, growling, and gurgling yes. Are you running high octane gas? (don't think that's it, but wouldn't hurt to give it a try).
