    Working on my first bike.

For carb cleaning a Harbor Freight ultrasonic cleaner with Simple Green works best, the Berryman is good but you have a can of chemicals after you're done. The Simple green Goes down the drain and the ultrasonic cleaner goes to the ole lady for her jewelry, everyone's happy. Cost when done is...

    Trouble shooting help!

I agree, carb cleaner is way safer than starting fluid. Another injector cleaner I like is Marvel Mystery oil, I mix a small bottle in a tank of gas about once a month.

If its too good to be true, its a scam. Crack head list is really bad, if it doesn't have a phone # for contact don't reply.

    Shinko Tires

Kind of like the answers I got at the shops, the first few said they suck then the next few say they put them on everything and love them. For the money I can wear out 2 Shinkos to 1 Pilot. I ordered the Verge 190 50 17 today, I'll post reviews soon.

    Shinko Tires

I guess I better stay with the Pilots, I do like to corner pretty hard, my old tire has less than 1/4 inch chicken strips.

    Shinko Tires

Does anyone use Shinko Tires? I have been asking around all the local shops, I have gotten a lot of mixed opinions some good, some bad. I am thinking about putting a 190 50 17 Shinko Verge on my 9SX, I have a Pilot Power one on the front. I was also considering a stealth, but they only offer a...

    Race map with stock exhaust?

I'm running a race map with stock exhaust, I modified my airbox and am running a K&N filter it runs pretty well, I don't get much decel popping. I did a little tweaking with the fuel values especially in the rear cylinder between 2500 and 3500 rpm to fill in some lean areas. Every bike is...

    Would you change this tire?

The head of the nail was worn off, im sure it didnt go in that way. If there was a problem with the carcass of the tire it would have failed with that nail moving around while contacting the road.

screws for the rear brake control

If you remove the good, take it to a ACE Hardware store, most have a really good selection of stainless screws. I believe those are a sae 10-24 thread.

Must be getting old: swapped out Jardine for Stock!!!

I did the same, pulled the D&D. Went back to stock, kept the K&N and a race map. Now I don't get the headaches and the ringing in my ears when I ride without earplugs.

    Fuel Mapping Tuning

If anyone is interested in a d&d I have one for sale. Like the prior posts state, once it is tuned it is great for midrange power. Mine on a xb9sx lopes a lot when riding in the city, up to 3500 rpms and comes on strong above that. I had a lot of problem finding maps for it, d&d does not support...

    supertrapp on xb9

I just bought an xb9 cityx, it has a homemade straight pipe on it. I was thinking about cutting it off and putting a 4" supertrapp on it. I had one on a klr and liked it. Anyone have experience with this? The pipe he used is a nice piece of stainless tubing.
