    Shipping a bike...

Good call on wrapping up any extra parts x1xb! I forgot to mention that JC Motors won't ship anything not attached to the bike. The gentleman I bought my Cr from wrapped up a few stock parts in a plastic bag and it to the tail along with the manual, spare key, and a few other things.

    Shipping a bike...

I used JC Motors when I bought my Cr off ebay and had it shipped from Illinois to Texas. They were very easy to work with. They did not keep up with the tracking, so I couldn't keep track of where it was once it was picked up. The arrival date was set for the 11th, but the truck driver called me...

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

polno- I haven't contacted Jethot yet. I just figured I would wait till this winter got closer before gettin hold of'm. And that could be awhile with this heat and crap. I just tried there website as well and got nothing. I dk what's going on? Probably just some trouble that'll be fixed in a...

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

Go in Monday to Maaco to get all my plastics painted with a base clear coat of Hi Blue Pearl Metallic. It's pretty similar to my 09 Tacoma blue. Law Bros Cycles will powder coat my rims the same color this winter and also powder the frame and swing arm silver metallic. I think that'll look real...

    How many of you have..

Going to paint my black 09 Cr this fall with silver frame and swing arm and paint the plastics electric blue with silver flames :)

    1125 Headers Wrapped

Did you put your heat shield back on, RT? I left mine off for awhile and could tell a decent amount of heat was no longer present on my leg, but it's been 105 here nearly all summer and she still wants to cook me. I used some self tapping short screws and use a big flat washer to keep the wrap...

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

That looks real sharp, Buelly! I'm in Lubbock, Tx. I went to Law Brothers Cycles today and got a quote. $750 for disassembly and reassembly, around $750 for a solid color on my frame, swing arm, and sub frame, around $1k for all the plastics. I dk much about paint or what a good price. I went to...

    1125 Headers Wrapped

Yeah RT, that ceramic coating does look great. I'm going to consider it when the wrap starts to wear out. Did you have some troubles wrapping your R? It wasn't easy on my Cr, but it wasn't terrible either. Just time consuming with 50' of wrap to pull through each time and keep tight. You used...

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

That'd be pretty cool Buelly! I love me some chrome. I'm about to google ppg now. The only thing is I don't want to tear my bike apart. I want to find something local so all I have to do is take my bike in, tell'm what I want, and let'm go to town. That way I could come in and check on it every...

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

burzac: looking custom is the last thing on my list. I'm mainly going for a color combo that will POSSIBLY keep the internal and external temps down and also stay clean longer. The hero blue and black is sharp. Silver and hero blue would look sharp also I think. xtreme: I do like the EBR race...

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

I love the polished aluminum look as well, but that's just as hard to keep clean as black, ya know? We'll see man. I'm going to keep toying around with color schemes and see what I come up with that I can afford. I don't want anything crazy; just a sharp custom looking bike.

    1125 Headers Wrapped

That's all good to know! I may do that this summer then or just wait for my wrap to frail out. I'd probably coat my with a silver because I plan on having the frame, subframe, and swing arm painted silver this fall/winter to help keep temps down. Also will have my plastics painted a lighter...

    1125 Headers Wrapped

That looks good freight! Real sharp. You say they cool real quick, but do they stay cooler while riding keeping heat off the frame and your leg? Did they coat the inside and out?

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

jake: my mind's made up that I want to paint my paint to keep it somewhat cooler in the heat and also help keep it cleaner. I think the silver and blue would be a slick combo, but I'm open for some other ideas that I may have not thought of. I'd love to go silver and plumb-crazy-purple or a...

    Painting My Cr-Suggestions?

Hey guys, I am thinking about painting my all black Cr. I want to powder coat the frame, subframe, and swing arm a bright silver to help keep temps down externally and internally. Yes, I know it won't be a drastic change, but I have done everything else that I can think of that's a fairly...

    Airbox Mod: Ideas?

1125's are fast enough the way they are. An air box mod isn't going to make much of a difference for the daily drivers out there. I would do it because I think the intake noise sounds cool, but I'm not going to because I already have a K&N filter and I don't want to run too lean. Just keep an...
